43. BURN INSIDE ME

Ten days since the king left.

Twelve days since the dragons declared war.

Ten days of dragons burning everything belonging to the vampires day and night.

They did not care if there were children, did not care if there were pregnant women.

All they wanted was revenge and they got it.

The smoke filled the air, the smell sickening, the smell of burning flesh over all the ten days.

The screams had reached our ears, not as if they were far. The dragons had done what they wanted to do and at that point, they were just at the few last villages which were evacuated but they did not care. They burned the establishments as well, just bringing everything down.

There were about a hundred of them at that point, no hope in fighting and winning over them. The electricity had been cut out, our whole castle and coterie dark with the only thing bringing light being the fire that lit out windows as it roared down.

Everyone was in their corner where they had crawled, just praying for everything to be ove
