Lady Morgana

I was still in the bath when the aura hit.

One moment the water was warm and quiet. The next, every nerve in my body locked. My Beta wolf dropped so hard and so fast that I nearly slipped under the surface. The pressure was crushing — far heavier than any frenzy I had felt in three years. It pressed against my lungs, my throat, the inside of my skull.

Outside the bathing chamber I heard the Omegas collapse. Their whimpers were thin and broken. Someone started crying.

VEYRON MORDANEBy the time morning arrived, I had already been awake for nearly an hour. There was little reason to be. Everything I needed for the trip had been prepared the night before, and the documents requiring my attention had already been organized by my staff. The only thing left was to leave.Still, I remained in bed for a while, watching Evelina sleep beside me. Her face was peaceful, her long hair scattered across the pillow, one hand resting loosely near her cheek. She looked completely unaware that I would soon be several hours away from her, and something about that made leaving more difficult than it should have been.I had spent centuries leaving places without looking back. I had marched into wars knowing there was a possibility I would never return. I had crossed borders, commanded armies, negotiated with kings, and watched entire governments rise and collapse without allowing any of it to disturb my composure. Yet somehow, leaving one woman behind for two days had

EVELINA SINCLAIRThe following morning was considerably busier than I had expected.I was standing in front of the bedroom mirror when Cora entered, carrying a small notebook and a cup of tea.“My lady, the royal tailor has arrived.”I turned around immediately.“Already?”“Yes, my lady. She’s waiting in the adjoining reception room with her assistants.”I glanced at myself one last time before smiling.“Alright. Let’s not keep them waiting.”The moment I entered the reception room, I was greeted by an elegantly dressed woman who introduced herself as Madame Celeste, the royal tailor. She had been responsible for designing several of the royal family’s most important garments, and judging by the assistants accompanying her, she had come fully prepared.“Good morning, Your Highness.”I smiled politely.“Good morning.”She explained that they would be taking my measurements and discussing the general direction of my wedding wardrobe. Apparently, there would be several fittings, and the

EVELINA SINCLAIRI looked at the ring on my finger and smiled.I was perfectly where I needed to be.We had returned to the Pack House yesterday, and I was still getting used to the thought that I was engaged. Sometimes, I would catch myself staring at the diamond, turning my hand slightly to watch it catch the light, and a silly smile would spread across my face.Veyron Mordane was going to be my husband. My husband.I couldn’t believe it.Cora was sitting on the edge of the bed, watching me with an expression I couldn’t quite understand.“My lady…”I turned towards her.“Yes, Cora?”She hesitated before speaking.“What happens if Princess Aurora’s mother wakes up?”I lowered my hand.“Why?”“Well, my lady, I was just thinking about it. The harem has been closed, and now that you’re engaged to His Majesty…” She paused, choosing her words carefully. “What happens if she wakes up and wants to return to the Inner Residence?”I exhaled softly.“She’s not really my problem, Cora. That’s V

MINISTER ZAHARABy the time I finally closed the last file on my desk, my eyes were beginning to hurt. I leaned back in my chair, stretched my arms above my head, and glanced at the clock. It was already late, and I still had several documents to review the following morning. Being Minister of Defense was proving to be considerably more demanding than I had anticipated, although I wasn’t about to complain. I had worked too hard to get here.I gathered the few documents I needed to take home, placed them inside my handbag, and switched off my computer. After checking that everything was in order, I slipped my phone into my bag and left my office. The corridors were quieter now. Most of the employees had gone home, leaving only a few security officers and members of the night staff moving around the building. I greeted the guards at the entrance and stepped outside. And stopped.Kael was leaning against his black car, his hands tucked into his pockets, looking entirely too pleased with

MINISTER ZAHARAI stared at myself in the mirror, and the smile on my face only grew wider. It was ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.I had spent years dealing with Kael — years of enduring his persistent visits, his irritating jokes, his shameless flirting, and his refusal to understand that I wasn’t interested in whatever relationship he kept trying to build with me. I had rejected his invitations more times than I could remember, reminded him of our professional boundaries, and even told him that our night together had been a mistake. And now, somehow, that same man was my mate.My mate.I tilted my head slightly, examining the mark on my neck. It was impossible to miss, a dark, unmistakable claim against my skin. When I brushed my fingertips over it, a strange warmth spread through my chest.Moon Goddess. How had this happened?I had known Kael for years. I knew his personality, his habits, his annoying confidence, and the way he could turn an ordinary conversation into an opportu

EVELINA SINCLAIRFor a moment, I forgot how to breathe.Veyron Mordane was kneeling before me.Veyron Mordane, the Supreme Alpha of Lycanin, the man whose name could silence an entire room, whose presence made powerful Alphas lower their heads, was looking up at me with a tenderness I had never seen in his eyes before. And he was asking me to marry him.My hands flew to my mouth as tears spilled down my cheeks. I shook my head, laughing and crying at the same time, because there was no way this was happening. Not to me. Not to the girl who had once learned to keep her dreams small because wanting too much only made disappointment hurt more. Not to the girl who had never imagined she would be loved by a man like him.“Veyron…”His thumb brushed across my trembling fingers.“Say something, Little Rabbit.”I let out a broken laugh, looking down at him through my tears. “You can’t just do this to me!”His eyebrows drew together slightly. “Do what?”“Ask me something like that when I’m wea
