The following day, the wedding did happen, but I was not concerned about anything that was happening at the ceremony. I had left the palace for the clinic as early as possible and almost worked myself to death that day. I was treating every single patient by myself and refused the help from the other nurses and doctors, made rounds by myself and even forgot that I hadn’t taken anything all day. As soon as Amy dressed up and went to her chambers, Chief Kinn didn’t waste time in informing her about the said training Helena mentioned earlier. “Do I have to do it? I don’t want to”, Amy protested, but Chief Kinn wouldn’t even listen to her whining. “I do not have the authority to stop it because it is the queen’s command. Also, it is a necessary requirement for every concubine that will be serving the Alpha, so you must undergo the training as instructed by the Luna”, Chief Kinn argued calmly. She snorted! “Mmph!” “You must be kidding me. Did Luna herself undergo any training? She just came and sat down on the throne, but you want me to train? That is impossible” she countered, her eyes glistening with jealousy coupled with stubbornness. Chief Kinn, who had many things to do and oversee, didn’t want to spend all the whole day exchanging words or trying to persuade her about something that she didn’t have any choice but to do. At the announcement of the result, Amy charged forward at me to protest but I pushed her away with the same force she was coming with, making her stagger. “You witch! I will make sure to skin you alive” she growled at me, yelling at the top of her voice. The servants in the hall rushed to hold her down before she attacked me further, even though I didn’t really need their help. If she had tried to attack me again, I would have made sure she regretted it. With a loud voice, I raised up an envelope I had earlier picked from the table. “If you are not going to comply, then you can gladly sign this document. It won’t take long because my seal is already on it. I don’t have to explain what it is, it shows that you will no longer be able to live in the palace. The last day of the training came by and we were busy with the tasks Amy was to do for her final test. Beta Gray, who had been away from the palace since the wedding, finally came to witness the test that had been going on. At the sight of how strict and thorough Helena was with Amy and how she kept judging critically, he already sensed that the situation was not only for proper training but also to get back at Amy for thinking she could do anything or anyhow she wanted in the palace just because Alpha Draco doesn’t favor the Luna. One thing he loved about Helena was her smartness. HELENA’S POV That very morning, I knew something was up with the sudden change of scent in Alpha’s room. Draco is someone sensitive to scents, so for him to request a change of scent meant that something might have happened in my absence, but that was none of my business. I only owed him a greeting after all. I was so bitter about what Amy did to me with the poison ivy. She had done her research and knew that it was a flower that shouldn’t be near me, then purposely added to the incense, purposely started a meeting till my system absorbed the toxin and reacted, almost killing me. She must have been joking if she thought I would sit still after that horrible incident. I also made sure to think long and wide about what would be the perfect payback and when the ceremonial dinner was announced, I decided that it would be the perfect stage to have my revenge. With a careful investigation through Han, I found out that she was intolerant of cauliflower. She listed it as one of the spices that shouldn’t be in her food, in a large amount because of her irritable bowels, when she was being asked about her palate by the kitchen department. AMY’S POV Although I did start the attack on Helena, I wasn’t prepared for her heavy comeback. The blows she was delivering were so heavy that I almost died in the past few days. Ever since the announcement of my training till the day I was discharged from the hospital for the insane diarrhea I had, I saw hell! All those paybacks were enough to humble me, but given the person I was, I never planned to give up on either making her leave the palace or make her life a living hell. As soon as I was sure that I was fine enough, I went to visit Alpha Draco, who had just come back from a trip with the Beta. “You didn’t ask of me even when you heard that I almost died at the clinic”, I confronted him, entering the large bedroom I had missed.
