25: MAKING A MESS

Simon was in the baby essential corners in the mall, pushing a cart filled with baby things.

“Sleeping wears. Check.”

“Diapers, wipes: check.”

“Formula bottle and milk: check.”

“Bathtub: check.”

“Should I buy a crib too?” Simon asked himself though his eyes were already fixated on the cribs at the end of the aisle. Then, without hesitating he went towards it. he was even humming, unbothered by the people who were mostly mothers or becoming mothers staring at him.

Some were laughing, giggling that he seemed to be an excited father.

“Simon?!”

He stopped on his tracks, glancing at his side where he heard that familiar voice. And how can he ever forget that voice and face when she pestered him all night before?
