Three nights ago…

In reality, Eve wasn’t sleepwalking like what Lucas thought. When she was staring at the calendar, she was looking at the date that time. It was the day that her mom died.

Every year, she dreaded that day the most. Most of the time, all the memories of that painful and longest night of her life flashed in her mind. Again…then again.

Surprising though, she almost forgot it. was it because she had enjoyed too much to live with Lucas? She didn’t know. And that’s one of the reasons why she felt so guilty.

Thus, when Lucas tucked her in bed, she pretended asleep. she was listening to his racing heart since she was so close to him. then, slowly, his breathing calmed as well as his heartbeat. Making sure he was already fast asleep, she kissed the side of his lips.

There was no response.

If this man was still awake, he might have pulled her in and deepened the kiss to ravish her. that’s when she knew he was truly asleep.
