43: HER MOM'S THIRD WISH

Warm hands were gently caressing her hair.

Eve still remembered something her professor in Psychology once told the class. He said that people often love someone because they can fulfill what they lack and crave as a child through that person.

She grew up lonely and lacking of love, care, and warmth from her own father. That wasn’t entirely how it started. though she barely remembers the details, the family she first knew was full of love and laughter. Her dad still loved her and her mom. And her mom still wasn’t depressed.

She didn’t know how, why, and when did everything start crumbling down. All she remembered was that certain night. It was raining and thundering loud. Her mother lays on the floor, pills scared along around her.
