My beautiful butterflies and little birds,
For those who haven't read The Forgotten Luna / The Royal Luna—ignore this author's note and just carry on with the next chapters.
But for those who had finished Kael and Adessa's book, this note is for you.
A part of the next chapter was taken from the epilogue of The Forgotten/Royal Luna. I had reworked it specifically to cater to this book. I added so much more and removed spoilers for that book so you would only hear Adessa's thoughts about Kael, and things related to Iris and Draco. I had also added a surprise addition, a part that I knew some of you were wishing was there in their epilogue. Although I will not update the epilogue of The Forgotten/Royal Luna to include this, that part will be added once TFL/ TRL is printed in paper back format and made available on A m a z o n K i n d l e next year (2026).
Also, I was able to request to make the next three chapters into one, which is Chapter 114, so CH 114 will cost more than usual, but it's three chapters long, so it's worth it.
That is all, my lovelies! Enjoy reading! ❤️
xoxo, Cassandra M
P.S: I am writing this note to avoid complaints that this is a repeat of the epilogue or that it costs more. I am enjoying writing this part of the book and don't want to spoil my momentum. 🙏Thank you for all the wonderful feedback! xxx
DRACO’S POV.“This is your destiny, Princess Diallica. Accept it.” The fucker continued to speak softly, trying to sway my girl to leave with him. “I’m coming down! Wait for me!” I growled, and I used all my remaining energy to cut all the fucking vines that were coiled around my legs. I felt I had clawed my own skin, but I didn’t give a fuck. I just wanted to be free from all these fucking things around me!“If I had found you earlier, I could have saved you from all the pain this world has given you. You deserve better, princess. You deserve the whole world. You deserve creatures bowing down at your feet, not humans and shifters who mock every step you take.”“Fuck you!” I growled as my body fell from more than ten feet high. I grimaced because I landed on my elbow, but I did my best not to scream at anyone. I was still trying to control the pain surging in my body while being fully aware of Iris’ movement. I tried to crawl toward her, pushing my body using my wounded feet. I was
ALPHA PRINCE KAEL. I was still inside Adessa, fucking her bairns out and satiating my haze, when a loud knocking—no, banging—came through the door. We tried to ignore it and kept going, but whoever the fucker behind the door was couldn’t take a hint.We finally give up, and I pull out from inside her before grabbing a bathrobe and helping put it around her. I then pulled on my sweatpants and followed her to open the door. Esmaeel, the first born prince, was behind the door and behind him was his wife, Dorothea, who was also just in her robe. And Adessa was right with what she told me about her. Without a make up on her, she looked way younger than the look she wanted to achieve — probably to match with the age of her husband, who was thirteen years older than her. “Oh, please! What is wrong with you? It is my wedding night!” Adessa snapped at him. She had every reason to. We were supposed to fly somewhere for our honeymoon but we decided to delay it for a couple of days because of
IRIS' POV.“Princess Diallica is my mate! So don’t you fucking take her away from me!” Draco growled at him and my head immediately snapped up to look above me. I could see his eyes dilating, his jaw clenching. He was looking at Eox, but he kept trying to break his leg free from the vines looping around it and holding him upside down. Did I hear him right? Did he say he was my mate? Did he mean it? “Now, you wanted her just because you found out she’s a powerful fae, isn’t that the truth?” Eox said in a voice that was so different from the one he had used earlier. His words were more pronounced, his tone deeper and darker. “Iris is mine. Whatever you are planning to do, I will not let you succeed.” I heard Draco speak, and despite my heart warming at the possessiveness in his words, Eox’s words also caught my attention.“What did you say? About a powerful fae?” My eyes snapped back to Eox.“You are a dark fae, Princess Diallica. The last of your bloodline and the only one who survi
IRIS’ POV.“Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!” A loud voice rang in the air, cutting my words and making the hair at the back of my neck rise.” What a fantastic show!”Even before I could check where the voice was coming from, Draco had already stood up and had moved me behind him. His arm stretched out as he looked around, searching for where the voice was coming from. He was back in action, as if a moment ago, he wasn’t pouring his heart out to me. But it also meant one thing. I was still important to him, and my safety remained his top priority.“I’m here!” The voice said, but I couldn’t see him anywhere. And then I heard small voices chattering and giggling, so my hold on Draco’s shirt tightened as I moved my body closer to his back.“Who are you?” Draco asked, his voice echoing around the forest. “Show yourself!”A spark flashed before us at a tree almost ten meters away, and once the smoke disappeared, there was a man with long ears sitting on one of its larger branches. His skin was as pal
IRIS’ POV.“I’m losing you…” My lips quivered as more tears trickled down my face. Although he was no longer looking at me as if he was upset with me, I knew things between us would never be the same again. “I can’t believe I’m losing you…” “Iris, we can talk and you can explain more once you are able to rest. You might still be in shock at everything that happened tonight. I will also explain what happened there…”“Stop… Stop… Stop!” My shoulders shook as my whole body was wracked with my sobs. “You don’t believe anything I was saying.”“Iris…” He cupped my face, but I refused to look at him anymore. I swatted his hands away from my cheeks before I pushed myself away from him. I turned around and pulled the door handle, stepping out of the car without saying anything more. “Iris…” Draco called me but I didn’t look back. I just walked away, leaving the door open.“Damn it!” I heard him curse loudly, followed by a door being slammed shut. I thought he closed the door on my side and
IRIS' POV.Draco and I walked in silence as we went deeper into the forest, but despite that, he kept holding my hand. He didn’t let go. I wanted to explain everything, but I was tired and felt like something was digging into my head that I couldn’t quite put into words. We hadn’t walked too far yet from where we left Alessio’s body when we reached the place where we found his car. Luckily, it was left open, and the key was in its ignition. But before he could start the car, I opened the dashboard looking for something while he removed the guns from his waist and placed them in the dashboard between us. When I didn’t find what I was looking for, I reached for his bag in the back seat and rummaged through it. I found a stash of pregnancy kits, so I took one before returning his bag to where I had taken it from.“Give me a minute,” I told him and showed him the kit. He didn’t say anything, but he didn’t object either, so I slid out of my seat and out of the car before going behind th
