IRIS' POV.

After that, the party proceeded. Although we didn’t get to spend time with the couple, they waved and smiled at us from time to time. But through everything that was happening, I could tell Draco was not in the mood anymore.

“Are you okay?” I asked. We were alone and sitting at one of the bars around.

He drank all the rum in his glass before setting it on the counter. “He keeps looking at you the whole fucking time.”

My heart thundered at his words, and when I looked around, I did see Prince Esmond talking with a group of people, but he was looking at us — at me. And he smiled, raising a cocktail glass in my direction. He was smiling at me as if he were single and I was not with Draco.
