Grayham’s POV

I’m getting used to the morning walks I take around the neighborhood lately. It’s half past 6 am and I have been walking for about thirty minutes.

Realizing that I had an extra thirty minutes to myself before I head back to the café and get set for the day, I decided to walk into the cemetery since I was walking towards its entrance.

Months ago, it’ll take a legion of warriors to get me inside a place like this but here I was, gliding into the cemetery on my own in this early hour of the day.

I traced my way inside and took a turn to the right then I walked straight to the latest tomb. I was standing in front of Alex’s tomb. I took off my hoodie after heaving a sigh.

The flowers were withered and if I had planned on showing up, I would have plucked some roses from Mrs. Hadley’s garden and brought them here.

I stationed my hands behind me and looked at the tomb in front of me. Alex’s full name and initials were slapped on the tomb and the phrase ‘Loving father’ ran beneat

  • THE SWITCH: 100 DAYS OF ME AND YOU    LET’S WORK TOGETHER

Mile’s POVImmediately after the cab came to a halt, I alighted and marched straight to the café.It wasn’t even 7 am and I’m sure Grayham was still in bed. He’s used to a posh lifestyle and who knows whether he only wakes up around 9 am to open the café.I got to the door and noticed that it was left slightly open. My eyes travelled up and the closed sign was glued to the glass door but I could tell that it was open so I grabbed the door knob and then gave the door a slight push.It easily slid in so I walked into the café and was swooned by its cleanliness. A glance at my wristwatch proved that it wasn’t 7 am yet the floors were mopped and all the tables tidied.I darted my gaze to the counter and noticed that it was prepped, ready for service.“Wow!” I muttered under my breath, stunned by the fact that Grayham had woken up early to do all this work. I must say that I’m impressed.I was about to head to the staircase so I could meet him but before the customers started showing up wh

  • THE SWITCH: 100 DAYS OF ME AND YOU    TECH COMMUNITY

Grayham’s POV“Okay….” I sat and then spread out my printouts on the table. Any moment from now, Miles is going to walk in and I can’t wait to show him what I’ve been working on.We agreed to meet tonight at our usual spot, the private lounge. He’s going to give me a weekly report on the state of the company while I give him a heads up and how to carry on in the coming week. There’s not much to say about the café so I don’t think he’ll expect a report. However, I wish someone who knew who I was might want to know that I was making progress with baking. The glass door automatically opened and Miles walked in dressed in one of my fancy leather jackets. I don’t know why the thought of tearing him into pieces since he was rocking my clothes didn’t cross my mind today.Maybe because he was looking quite dashing. He got a new haircut and- I immediately turned away. I better not be staring.Miles sat next to me on the sofa and I felt it heat up almost immediately.“What are these designs?”

  • THE SWITCH: 100 DAYS OF ME AND YOU    CURSE

Mile’s POV“Are you sure about this?” Henry adjusted his silk tie and then leaned toward me.I laughed. “This is the hundredth time you’re asking whether I’m sure about this and believe me, I’m very sure. You’ve got this.”He sat up and began to stroke his tie while trying to keep his breath in check.I never imagined that Henry’s anxiety was going to be so evident. He’s a brilliant businessman and in the last 40 days that I’ve known him, his ideas shine through and his solutions are practical and long lasting.I just hope Grayham keeps him in the long run.Henry and I have spent the previous week working on a new business proposal for our potential clients. Our meeting with them was slated for a few minutes from now so this morning, I asked Henry to make the presentation on behalf of the Wilson Industries. To be honest, the entire concept was his idea and all I had to do was sit tight during the mock presentation with the board members and pretend to cross the Ts and dot the Is.I gl

  • THE SWITCH: 100 DAYS OF ME AND YOU    WORKING WITH SHIRLEY

Grayham’s POV“I’ll see you tomorrow.” Eric waved and stepped out.I looked at the plate he was kind enough to bring to the counter and then resolved to wipe my hands with a rag.My eyes wandered to the cookie pantry beside me. There were about twenty pieces left out of the fifty I baked this morning. I couldn’t be more proud. It was past 2 pm so if my predictions are right, I should be able to sell the remaining cookies by nightfall.Who would have thought that the CEO of Wilson Industries would be reduced to a cookie seller?Well, at least I’m proud I made those cookies from scratch, and trust me, they taste so well.I finished wiping my hand with the rag and then picked up Eric’s dirty plate. Once I clean the dishes in the kitchen, I’ll grab lunch in my room, and rest for as long as I can before customers show up.The café is mostly slow during the day. It’s more active in the mornings and evenings towards then at night. The clicking of her footstep caused me to straighten. My br

  • THE SWITCH: 100 DAYS OF ME AND YOU    THE PROBLEM WITH SHIRLEY

Grayham’s POVI tried to turn but it felt impossible. My eyes opened and I remembered that I had spent the night on the couch. I rolled down the blanket, got up, and turned off the alarm clock.I darted my gaze to the bed and saw Shirley wrapped up comfortably like a sausage. The alarm clock was right above her head but the loud buzzing did nothing to her.Last night, she showed up and requested to spend the night here, and out of courtesy or should I say she gave herself liberty, Shirley took a bath and ended up on the bed so I had no choice but to stick to the couch.I went to the bathroom, cleaned up, and made my way to the café. There, I cleaned the whole place, mopped the floors, and by 8 am, I had flipped the ‘open’ sign. While waiting for the day’s first customer, I went to the kitchen to commence baking. I would be making plain cookies. They say if you’re working on something new, start from the easiest.I mixed the batter just as I’ve seen in my tutorial videos. I covered it
