CHAPTER 3: MY WAY TO PAY YOU BACK
Memories came to her mind, those memories where she was one of the most respected women in the country. She had had everything, money, a house, love from her mother, and now, just the application to the bank's cell phone was everything that luxury life had left her. The card between her hands felt so good, even the decorations on it were something beyond what she had by that moment. There was power in that simple card.
When the application was opened, her eyes opened widely. “How come Daniel could have something like that?” He was no more than an employee and, of course, that was okay but... she just couldn’t understand that.
It could not be possible, in the application was the money she was needing. How come he could give her so much money at once? No matter how much she blinked, the money was the same, the money she needed for her daughter was there, marked on that little screen on her cell phone.
In the end, it was not necessary to know or to think about where that money had come from, it was money that had to be his savings and now, she had all his money to do whatever she wanted with it.
An immigrant, a hard-worker constructor, had given her the life of her son. Daniel was the name of the person who had given years of work to her. Daniel was the angel that had come to save her and her daughter.
.
Looking at the dark sky, with the same clothes he had gone out, he smiled. His life had not been easy. That city was everything while he was nothing. Just people going back and forth, some happier than others, some in a hurry, while others seemed to want to delay their return to home.
The cigarette in his hand gave him power, an invisible power he knew he had.
“When are you coming? Everyone misses you so much here.”
Daniel smiled. “Soon. Don't miss me so much!"
A sigh was heard from the other line. “Well, I think I should let you sleep.”
“Good night!”
And then, Daniel hung up. Once again, he sighed before leading his eyes to the scattered sky. From his pocket, he took a piece of paper.
It was a receipt for blood donation. There were three receipts like that one. Without wanting to know anything else, he squeezed the receipt into a ball and threw it away.
By the moment he got back home, it was 8:00 p.m sharp. Once again, there was nothing, there was no one, just darkness. Slowly, he turned on the lights. As always, it was a problem to turn on the lights. Nothing in that little space he called home seemed to work well. The lights were turned off by themselves. As soon as he was in his room, he took off his t-shirt once again. He was so tired that all he could think of was to sleep right away, touch the bed and sleep.
In less than a minute, Daniel fell on the bed. His eyes closed at the mere instant he crashed on the bed, turning around to make himself more comfortable than he already was. His eyes opened at the mere instant he realized there was someone else there. On the other side of the bed.
In his mind was the name of the only woman that lived there and who was the mother of the little girl who he felt a certain love for. Rebecca.
What was she doing there, in the bed of that man?He sat up as soon as he understood why she was there. She had no need to do that.
“Rebecca, please, you don't need to do this," said the man, not knowing how to talk some sense into her.
“I know all our loans have to be paid," she replied expressionless.
Needless to say she was not comfortable with that. He didn't do anything. He didn't say anything. Daniel was too shocked to even react.
“This is my way to pay you,” continued Rebecca.
Daniel looked at her. Of course, she was beautiful, of course, she was attractive to him, but that was not a way to pay. She didn't have the need to even come closer to him.
"I didn't say anything aside from explaining to you it was just rent."
How come he could say it was just rent? Of course it was not for her. 50, 000 dollars. No one goes over there giving that amount of money. Her uncle, her friend, her ex-husband, no one had borrowed her that amount of money but Daniel. Just a inmigran man.
How long until he reaches that amount of money again? How much work? How much would she have to work to get together that amount of money? Well, it was clear she was not to work for that thanks to the man who had given that money and was looking at her with those beautiful brown eyes.
It was not she was not a decente woman, it was not she didn´t have respect for herself but just a mother is capable to understand what a mom who loves how she loved her son is capable to do when someone is paying for the life of her son. Thee miracle life gave her, the miracle that made her strong.
The truth was, without her son she didn´t know at which moment she had let herself fall. Maybe, that was something Daniel wouldn't understand. He just wanted to be paid. In the end of the day, there is no man on earth who does things for free. They always expect something in return and Rebecca was capable to do the worst thing ever in return to her son's life.
But what Rebecca didn't know was there were stil men who didn't expect anything, there were men who werehappy to see the woman who had been there for them, happy. That was the case of Daniel.
EPILOGUEIn the cellar, Sebastian couldn’t help but feel sick of the situation. Stefan and Donnovan, together in the same situation. Donnovan, the same stupid man that had toyed Juliette and now, he had tried to kill her baby. He couldn’t just let him get away with that. The only way he was going to get out of there was dead. After that, he doubted he was going to be able to see Rebecca and her little boy as a family, after that he knew they were not going to be able to live with a murderer. Yes, he wanted to kill the man that had tormented her sister and the love of his life so, in that way, they would be able to live a happy life.“This is your end, this is the only way you will let them be, I swear you won’t try to do anything against her after this!” Alexander yelled at the man whose face was the same as his.And without even realized Alexander had released from the ropes, he went directly to his brother when Donnovan was distracted by other things. He punched Stefan a couple of t
PART NINE: THE LOVE I DIDN'T WANTCHAPTER SIXIn the waiting room with her head relying on her hands that had been placed together, Rebecca waited for the doctor in the charge of her son’s surgery. PART NINE: THE LOVE I DIDN'T WANT CHAPTER FIVE With wide open eyes, Judith looked at Rebecca. She was still smiling.“Isn’t he handsome?” asked Rebecca.“Rebecca, are you sure this is an immigrant worker?”Rebecca stared at her. She was acting all strange. “This is Daniel.”“I can’t believe it, are you sure he is an immigrant worker? Are you sure he’s not the young president of some company?”Daniel was completely different from what she had imagined.Rebecca laughed. “I haven’t heard any company that has lost its youngest heir!”“How come he can be an immigrant worker?”“Why did your gesture change as soon as you see the photo?” Rebecca asked. At that moment Judith seemed to get anxious, even she dared to give in the document. She didn’t know how to say what Rebecca had to know.“I was worried that you married a bald middle-aged man. But now, you have my approbation, he’s so handsome!” Judith said, nervously.“Oh, really? Believe me, I needed.” “My daughter is okay here, this kind
PART NINE: THE LOVE I DIDN'T WANTCHAPTER FOUR In the Osara family villa, persian carpets were delicately laid on the floor, luxurious sofas shone in the golden sun, and two middle-aged men on the sofas are sitting on them laughing. As for the woman standing next to her was a graceful and luxurious woman dressed, the owner of the Osara family, Mr.Osara, the real owner of the Club and husband of Rebecca’s stepmother had arrived.Sitting together, after a slight greeting, their conversation started.“I hadn’t seen you in years!” greeted the man. A cup of tea was poured by the person who had arrived. My friend, it’s been a while. Please, excuse me I know your daughter is married, I didn’t even know until I was back, I’m really sorry I was not able to send her a congratulatory gift!”Mr. Osara smiled in disbelief. “What do you mean by that, Mr. Mendoza?” Rebecca is still young, I have not heard of having a boyfriend, where did you hear the news?”Mr. Osara didn’t look very old, just fif
PART NINE: THE LOVE I DIN'T WANT CHAPTER THREEShe had said it well. Her son was too innocent to even know what reality is. He didn’t deserve that.“You didn’t know who his father is?”“No, I don’t know, I didn’t tell you this before but when all of that happened, I just know I was abused by the play boy of the school and her friends, after some months I started to feel ill , later I found out that I was pregnant with Rud. I wanted that boy since I knew she was inside me, I loved him since that moment so I decided to fight, no matter what, I wanted to have him in my arms. But if I have to be honest to you, there were moments when I thought about giving up on him, I’m so thankful that the doctor had told it was too late. Even though it was hard to understand and learn to live with him in my inside, I managed to do my best even when I met Donnovan. When Donnovan knew about the truth, he said he didn’t mind, I believe him because he was a person who had known me for so many years, I sho
PART NINE: THE LOVE I DIDN'T WANT CHAPTER TWO After a couple hours, Rebecca and Rud came back home but not alone. At that moment, there was someone else accompanying them.“The house is a little dirty and messy, sorry,” said Rebecca entering home.Judith smiled, “Don’t you mind about that,”“Please, take a sea. I’ll go and pour you some tea!” Rebecca said, and then turned around and took a disposable water cup and poured a cup of warm water. She seemed to be a little nervous by the presence of that woman. Then at the coffee table, on the sofa was a young woman wearing a white shirt on the upper body and hot pants on the lower body, it was Judith, Rebecca’s friend.Judith looked around at the surrounding environment, clean and tidy, but the furniture was almost all old furniture, and even many of the red paint on the cabinets had fallen off a lot, Judith said in disbelief, “Rebecca, what happened to you?”The woman couldn’t believe that was how she was living after the luxurious life
