The cold breeze relaxed her heart after a long day of stress. She stared at the moon calmly when, suddenly, she heard a small knock on her door.

She scowled and looked at the wall clock. It was almost 1 a.m.

She thought only one person would disturb her this late at night and walked to open the door.

“Granny, why did you tell me all this now?” Abigail’s eyes filled with doubt and complacency.“Because I don’t want you to hate him. I am a greedy woman, Abigail, and I still wish you and him to be together for a child.”“Granny, you know_”“Yes, but as an old woman, I can only hope the best for you both. And, today I told you this, so you can understand why he was like this and so blinded with revenge.”He believes that if his parents had not died in the car accident that day, his family would never have had to suffer. He could have been a simple man without a shady flank.“However, I know, it was fated, and no one can do anything to change the things anymore. It was destined. Most importantly, you also lose everything in that accident, Dear.”Granny’s eyes turned apologetic. Her words made Abigail’s heart heavy as she spoke with a grave tone.“Grandma, don’t you hate my parents and me?” Abigail’s eyes turned red when she thought Granny had also lost her only daughter a

Abigail lay in the bed and tried to fall asleep, but no matter what, she couldn’t fall asleep. At the end, she decided to get up and walk onto the balcony. The cold breeze relaxed her heart after a long day of stress. She stared at the moon calmly when, suddenly, she heard a small knock on her door. She scowled and looked at the wall clock. It was almost 1 a.m.She thought only one person would disturb her this late at night and walked to open the door.‘Why does he need to knock? Doesn’t he have an extra key with him always?’Byron often appeared without warning to sleep next to her. When she heard the knock, she doubted for a moment.Yet, when she opened the door and saw the person standing there, she was surprised.“Grandma?” Abigail looked at Granny, who was at her door in a nightgown. Her wrinkly eyes looked red and puffy."Grandma, is everything alright?" she asked, concerned.“Abigail, can we talk?” She weakly smiled.“Yes, please.” Abigail opened the door f

  • THE TRADED WIFE   Loyality

His eyes snapped, “Granny, don’t ever dare. She can’t know about this. You should better know that.”“Why not? Abigail is your wife and is near to give birth to your child. Do you think she will be foolish for her whole life?”“Granny, I can take care of that. But I warned you. You are not speaking with Sara about Abigail.”“What if I did?” She dared to touch his authority. However, he stayed composed and spoke in a dominant tone, “Alright, then! Tell her that Abigail’s my wife and I am her child’s father. But before that, tell her this truth as well that her parents are the reason she lost her parents and lost her thirteen years.”“You_” Granny felt perplexed.“Tell her now. Go, Granny, and tell her the truth. But after that, I was ready to watch her be devastated and hate everything.”“Byron, do you think I am this cruel?” Granny’s eyes reddened with terror at even thinking of Sara going through something painful. On the other hand, Byron could see through her reaction

On the other hand, Abigail, who finally appeared with one of the staff, heard everything. She could see Sara’s difficult situation, just as in her past, and gestured to the staff beside her to serve the dessert she had brought especially for Granny. The Staff instantly went to the dining table and started serving the dessert.Granny, who was in the middle of an argument, inhaled a sweet fragrance of tres leches cake and could not help but feel amused to realise whose recipe this is.She glanced in Abigail’s direction, who tried to avoid sight, but she understood; she had prepared this for her.In their last interaction, one day she prepared this dish for her and from that moment, without a word, Abigail realised how much Granny liked the flavours and promised to make it whenever she came. This cake brought back the past memory, and Granny, who was looking grumpy a few minutes ago, finally looked calm and composed before declaring, “I have had enough arguments with my unfil

Granny understood and instantly apologised, breaking the hug and holding her palm gently, “I am sorry for my poor words. You suffered so much, my dear. Now don’t cry anymore. I will never leave your side, even if the Lord wants me, I will fight for you and stay next to you.”Hearing that, Sara could not help but laugh happily, “Oh Garnny!”Sara hugged her again tightly, “I am so happy you came for me.”“How could I not? Once I learned that you are awake. I decided to rush out here, but because of my poor health and Byron’s annoying instructions, my passport was never granted. Or else, I would have been stopped last month already.”“It’s alright, Granny. I know, Byron just wanted to see you safe.” Sara chuckled.“Yes, yes, I understand. By the way, here he is?” She looked around as she asked about Byron, but what she never thought was that she would catch the familiar face again in the Gilbert mansion.Abigail walked to her with easy steps, carrying a brief smile, but what

She’s looking heavily pregnant, completely different from last month, and it’s all changed under Byron’s strict instruction to staff.Nowadays, she even eats a lot and always feels hungrier within a few hours. She discerned that no matter how much she feasted, she always found herself craving something all day long, even at midnight, and therefore she gained almost 7 kg.Regardless, this sudden weight change did not alter her beauty but made her cheeks fuller, making her look even more attractive and as perfect as a pregnant model figure. She began wearing loose clothing for added comfort and to walk more easily. Nevertheless, she was not allowed to walk for long or do any heavy work. She was boycotted from the kitchen. All she has to do is look after herself and the baby.Whenever she felt bored and tried to do work, the staff debated, especial
