CHAPTER SIXTEEN

Penny had stopped by at Tanner's to drop Grace's ID and also join them for lunch. Grace and Janet had just waved Penny goodbye, watching her taxi drive off when Janet asked, "why do you and your sister use mobile phones. Don't you like the convenience that comes with smartphones? I've noticed that you're always using this outdated phone with no camera, but I had thought it was simply your choice. After seeing Penny with the same phone, I knew something must be wrong."

"I like it, it works just fine. I mean I used it to call you and Penny, didn't I?" Grace replied avoiding Janet's suspicious gaze.

"Why don't we get you and Penny smartphones? What do you say?" Janet smiled.

Grace looked up at her nervously, thinking of what Camila was going to do if she ever found Grace or Penny with a smartphone.

"It's not necessary, we are very old fashioned. I like the mobile phone as it is. I don't take pictures and I don't use the internet, so it's not necessary," Grace replied.
