Going shopping

"Werewolf?" she asked.

"Yes, you are a werewolf. I noticed your scent, it seems like you recently left your pack." Alessandro told her.

Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Lilian cursed inwardly. It seemed like he was a very perceptive werewolf as well.

She quickly thought of what to say to make him less suspicious.

"Eh yes, I used to be in a pack." she told him, hoping that he wouldn't question her further.

"So why did you leave?"

"I would like to keep that matter private, if you don't mind sir."

"Its okay, I understand. I just hope you didn't do anything illegal."

Lilian's heart beat even faster when he said this.

"No, I didn't. I didn't do anything illegal." she lied.

"Okay, I believe you. About the job, you have to accept it. I wouldn't trust any other person to be my secretary."

"What about your former secretary? Wouldn't he/she feel offended that I took their job"

"I sacked my previous secretary three days ago. She tried to sell information about me to the paparazzi."

"Oh!"

"So do you see why I need an honest person for this job?" Alessandro asked her.

"Yes."

"So will you do it?"

Lilian thought about what decision to make. If she refused the job, it would only make him suspicious of her and dig deeper into her past. But if she took the job, she would be able to keep an eye on him.

"Miss Howard?" Alessandro asked after she had been quiet for long without answering him.

"I will take the job sir." she told him.

"Excellent. My driver will take you to meet my stylist. Go down to the garage and he will be waiting for you."

"Thank you sir."

"You are welcome miss Howard, I look forward to working with you."

"Same here." Lilian said.

Alessandro went back to his documents, Lilian knew she had been dismissed and left the office.

She went down to the garage and a man wearing a black suit walked up to her.

"Miss Howard?" he questioned.

"Yes."

"I am Giovanni, Mr Romano's driver. He instructed me to drive you to his stylist. Are you ready to go?"

"Yes, I am."

Giovanni led her to the car. A luxurious car which screamed power and wealth. He opened the door and she got in.

The car drove off for a while and stopped at a building. Lilian got down and looked at the building. There was nothing remarkable about the building, it was just a simple building.

There was a signboard that read 'CON'S STYLE' apart from that, nothing else indicated what was done in the building.

"I will be waiting for you here, miss Howard." Giovanni told her.

"Okay." she told him.

Lilian took a deep breath and entered the building. She met the receptionist sitting at the front of the building.

"Hello." she greeted as she approached the receptionist.

"Hello, how may I help you?" the receptionist answered, a welcoming smile on her face.

"I am Lilian Howard, Mr Romano sent me to see his stylist."

"Oh, hello miss Howard. Miss Romano has been expecting you."

"Miss Romano?"

"Yes, miss Romano. Constanza Romano, Mr Romano's younger sister." the receptionist informed her.

"Oh! I had no idea."

"I will send you up to her, go upstairs, the first office on your left."

"Ok, thanks a lot."

"You are welcome."

Lilian climbed the staircase, as she climbed, she cursed Alessandro in her heart. The least he could have done was tell her that his stylist was his younger sister, instead of making a fool of her.

She got to the office and knocked, seconds later, the door was opened by a stunning woman. Lilian immediately knew that this was Alessandro's sister.

"You must be Miss Howard?" she asked.

"Yes I am, it's a pleasure to meet you Miss Romano." Lilian replied.

The door was opened wider for her to come in, she stepped inside and locked the door behind her.

"Please call me Constanza. Miss Romano seems too formal."

"Then you must call me Lilian as well." Lilian replied.

"Okay, good to meet you Lilian."

"Good to meet you too Constanza."

The two women smiled warmly at each other.

"I have a feeling that we are going to be good friends." Constanza said.

"What makes you say that?"

"The other female werewolves I have met are usually so stuck up and arrogant. You on the other hand are a breath of fresh air."

"Well, I am glad to have made such a wonderful expression on you." Lilian said.

Constanza stepped back and looked at her from head to toe.

"Well you are naturally stunning and you have a nice shape. We will just trim your hair a little and then we go shopping."

"Shopping?" Lilian asked.

"Yes shopping. You are the secretary of New Lanterns most powerful business man, you need to look the part."

"Do I have to?" Lilian asked pitifully, she didn't want to go shopping.

"Yes you do." Constanza told her as she grabbed her and together they left the building and Giovanni drove them to the mall.
