AURORA’S POV:

The greenhouse smells like secrets. Damp earth, crushed petals, and something sharper underneath, like betrayal brewing beneath the soil. My boots crunch softly against gravel as I walk in, the flickering fairy lights above casting halos of gold and green.

Arc told me to come here after classes instead of heading to the cafeteria. Since I found it, I've been on constant edge.

Arc stands at the far end, back to me, a rose held between his fingers. His stillness should calm me. It doesn’t.

My hand tightens around the velvet pouch in my pocket. Inside, the flash drive I found tucked behind one of the auditorium speakers. Ariel must’ve dropped it during rehearsals or someone planted it there for me to find.

I hadn’t dared watch it alone. Instead, I went straight to Arc. Because if anyone could tell me what the hell I was looking at, it was him.

  • THE WEREWOLF AND VAMPIRE'S MATE   Chapter 48

Aurora’s POVThe darkness hums. Not like silence, not like sleep. It has teeth. It presses against my skull, velvet and vice. And then, like a gasp from beneath the surface, I lurch awake.Stone. My back touches it first, the cold, uneven stone beneath layers of velvet. The scent is ancient, damp. Moss, candle wax, and something coppery I can’t name.Where am I? Panic claws its way up my throat before memory crashes down: the greenhouse. Arc. The vial. The stars spinning. His arms.He drugged me. That bastard. My heart slams against my ribs as I sit up, dizzy. There’s a low-burning torch near the doorway, its flame flickering like it knows it shouldn't be here. A heavy wooden door blocks the only exit, and iron bars reinforce the window slit above. I scramble up, bare feet slapping the cold floor. My boots are gone. My bag is gone. My skin, well... It's still mine, but crawling with betrayal. “Hello?” My voice echoes. Mocks me.Nothing answers. I pace the room, se

  • THE WEREWOLF AND VAMPIRE'S MATE   Chapter 46

AURORA'S POV: The next morning feels unreal, like my brain can’t decide if it wants to acknowledge what’s happening or shove it down into some dusty corner to rot in silence. But silence isn’t a luxury I can afford. Not when someone out there has something so personal, so violating, and is playing these sick games with it. With me.The note haunts my thoughts all through breakfast. My scrambled eggs taste like paper. I barely hear Cali rambling about her fight with Dax, something about him sending shirtless selfies to his ex again. I stayed over at Cali's house because I was scared of someone watching me in my room. Right now, we are in school. I nod when I should, laugh where it’s expected, but my fingers keep brushing against the folded note in my hoodie pocket like it’s a warning pulse. Jon’s sitting across from me, stealing my strawberries and giving Arc death stares when he thinks I’m not looking. Arc, in return, is unusually quiet. His gaze flicks over everyone in

AURORA'S POV: Cali lounges across my bed, legs swinging as she flips through our project notes. “Okay, but seriously, why does every group assignment feel like punishment?” I laugh, pulling my laptop closer. “Because it is. You and I are the only ones doing the actual work.” She grins, popping a grape into her mouth. “True. And don’t even get me started on Dax. He keeps texting me like we’re still a thing.” Dax is her on and off boyfriend. I don't even understand their dynamic most times. Their relationship is also toxic as fuck cause why would the both of y'all be cheating on each other for fun?? “Wait, Dax? I thought you broke up with him months ago?” “I did! But now he’s in his ‘what we had was real’ phase. Like, bro, you ghosted me for three weeks and then posted a thirst trap with your ex. Be serious.”Men are scum, guys.I snort. “The audacity of men.” Cali sighs dramatically. “I know, right? I’m over the drama, though. I just want someone who actually listen

AURORA'S POV: Some mornings feel wrong before they even begin.I knew today would be one of those. The sky outside was still a smudge of grey when I woke up, a chill curling around my ankles like a warning. The air felt heavier, like it was pressing down on my shoulders, whispering don’t go as I dragged myself out of bed and into the world. But I did. I went. Because I always do. Because pretending I’m okay is safer than admitting I’m not. The halls of Clarence High are their usual blend of too much and not enough. Too much noise. Too many bodies and not enough space to breathe. I feel so suffocated. My locker is only a few steps down the corridor, but it might as well be miles. Helpppp!! I dodge past a group of cheerleaders, avoid eye contact with Mr. Braidy who’s probably going to give us a pop quiz in English, and finally get to my locker, fingers already tingling with the usual nerves. That’s when I see it. A folded note. Tucked between my class schedule and the w

  • THE WEREWOLF AND VAMPIRE'S MATE   Chapter 43

AURORA'S POV: I walk through the school hallway like I’m trying not to be seen. Shoulders tight, head down, footsteps light. The tension from yesterday still clings to me like cigarette smoke... lingering, choking, impossible to shake.Jon’s text from this morning is still unopened. So is Arc’s second one from last night:Arc: You can pretend all you want, Little Seer, but your body never lies. Disgust curls in my stomach. Or maybe it's guilt. Or maybe it’s both tangled into one big ball of 'What the hell are you doing, Aurora?' I can’t focus and can’t breathe. I can’t even stop replaying everything over and over. Why did I let it happen? Why did it feel so right and so good? And why the hell do I want more?"Aurora!" I nearly jump out of my skin. Cali skips up beside me, shoving a piece of croissant into her mouth."You good? You’ve been zoning out all morning.""Just tired," I lie. She gives me a look. "Is this about the weird tension between you, Jon, and Arc? ’Cau

  • THE WEREWOLF AND VAMPIRE'S MATE   Chapter 42

AURORA'S POV: Embarrassed doesn't begin to explain how I'm feeling. I've literally been staring at myself in the mirror for the past twenty minutes. I don't even know whether to scream at them to leave or to wallow in my shame in peace. Either ways, I'm not so sure I'll make it out alive. Shoot! Today is freaking Thursday! I have school. Ughhhhhhh I need to get them out of the room. I open the bathroom door slightly and peep through. I don't see both of them anymore. Great. They finally worked together for the right thing. You sure about that? Memories that coming back to me immediately. Shut up. I look into the mirror again and really starr at myself. My hair’s a mess. My neck is covered in marks from Jon and Arc. My eyes are puffy. I look like someone who just had the most sinful night of her life. I splash cold water on my face, trying to scrub the guilt off. Trying to scrub them off. But it’s useless. I can still feel their touch on my skin. Still feel the way J

  • THE WEREWOLF AND VAMPIRE'S MATE   Chapter 41

AURORA'S POV: We barely make it inside the house when I'm slammed into the wall. They both pepper kisses down my neck and ear, their hands going under my tank top. Wait where are-"Where are Ava and-" Jon claims my lips, shutting me up. "They are out for the weekend. Now, shut up and let us work." Heat rushes down to my legs. We manage to make it upstairs in one piece after maybe breaking one to two vases on the way but who cares? As soon as we enter my room, Arc grabs me by the waist, our chests rubbing against each other. The smell of alcohol was stronger with the proximity. His eyes glazed with pure desire as he drank me in. "Look at you, all mine," he said with a smirk, voice low, and before I could reply, Jon growls and pulls me out of his hold so I could face him instead. Possessiveness has never looked so hot on him. "Oh, the things I want to do to you, my Aurora," Jon whispers with a hooded gaze, licking his lips. My breath stutters when I feel some

  • THE WEREWOLF AND VAMPIRE'S MATE   Chapter 40

AURORA'S POV: So apparently, the party will be taking place at a cheerleader's house. Yeah, Jon doesn't know her name so I don't either. I'm going to spend my night at a stranger's house. Yay! Jon slows down at a white bungalow that somehow looks too formal to be a home. We get down from the car and walk up the pavement. Digested is a PROPER understatement for how I'm feeling right now. There's so much vomit by the pavement and plastic cups are practically everywhere. I thought the party was inside the house not outside. Well, considering this is my first every high school party, I have made the beautiful decision to not repeat such an experience again. We knock on the door and immediately a girl who looks drunk out of her senses, opens the door. "Hi," Hiccups, "wel-" Hiccup, "-come"She shines her entire 32 at us leaving me creeped out as she pushes us out of the way before stepping out of the door. "Oh..Kay..." Jon laughs at my facial expression and takes a hold o
