NANCY'S     POV

David clutched his side, blood spilling through his fingers as he shoved me away. I moved back in shock, and the knife fell from my hand, making a sharp sound as it hit the floor

I stared at him in shock, then back at the knife as the weight of what I just did crashed hard on me. I had just stabbed the Alpha’s only son.

Oh Goddess, I was so dead!!

The sound of approaching footsteps pushed me out of my shocked state. I tried my best to move, but there was only so much I could do before they stormed the room.

Their eyes immediately locked on the scene: me, nearly naked and shaking, and David bleeding on the floor.

“You filthy whore,” one of them spat, grabbing a fistful of my hair and yanking me to my feet.

I let out a loud cry, clawing for his hands, but his grip only tightened. Slowly, I accepted defeat, and he dragged me out, my bare feet sliding over the cold tile.

The longer we walked, the stronger Alpha Peter's scent grew, although now it was beginning to smell like my death. His presence was a heated kernel waiting to burst.

The study doors were pushed open, and I was thrown inside, landing hard on my knees. I barely had time to cover myself when his voice cut through the silence.

“What happened?”

I knew that question wasn't for me, so I kept my gaze low, trembling as I knelt on the floor. Then came the sound of slow, uneven steps. David walked in from behind me, clutching his side, blood staining his white shirt.

“She stabbed me, Dad.” He yelled, his voice cracking. I didn’t have to look up to know Alpha Peter’s fury was massive. I could feel it, and I knew everyone in the room could too.

It was only a matter of time before he exploded.

His footsteps were slow, composed, each one echoing through the room like a countdown. A countdown to my fucking death, so I sucked in a shaky breath.

This was it. I was finally going to die.

Images of my parents and brother flashed through my mind like some sort of cruel goodbye.

I bit my lips trying to breathe through my nose in hopes of calming myself, but it was of no use. I was shaking all over. I had barely lived, and now I was going to die. At least I was finally going to get some rest.

He reached me and grabbed a fistful of my hair, dragging me up. I winced but stayed silent. I couldn't risk saying the wrong thing, not now.

“I let you live,” he muttered, his voice low and cold, “but it seems death was what you craved all this time. I'll finally grant it to you."

With that, he threw me to the floor like I was a rag doll. “Take her to the dungeon,” he ordered flatly. “And wait for my instructions.”

I screamed, begged, pleaded, but the guards just laughed, dragging me away like a heavy trash bag. Guards that once fought for my father. My voice echoed down the hallway, lost beneath their mocking laughter.

The dudgeon smelled moldy, so bad I could barely breathe. It was damp and dark, but at least it was better than the silver bar used to keep me in.

Those could melt our skin, and I had no hopes of an escape. I lay curled on the ground, too weak to move, my clothes torn and barely clinging to my skin.

I didn’t know how long I’d been here. There were no windows, no clocks either, just darkness, but with the hunger that chewed at my insides; it had to have been at least two days.

Footsteps echoed as they got closer. Normally, I would scramble away, but I could barely feel my own body. I heard the gate open, and a hand wrapped around my arm as they dragged me upward.

I kicked at one of the guards, biting the other anything to stop them from further harm. But more poured in, and they overpowered me quickly.

“Aww, you fight just like your father did,” David sneered as hot tears slid down my cheeks, and my body trembled. They were not from fear but from rage and helplessness.

“Well,” he said, voice venomous, “it’s time you joined him.”

Around me, the scent of blood and death clung to the walls. Wolves were usually torn apart or had their necks broken, but then David pulled out a syringe.

Alarms exploded in my mind, and I suddenly had the strength to fight.

No. Not wolfsbane.

It was the cruelest way to die. Like your insides were melting. It was such a slow yet painful way.

I screamed, struggled, begged, but he forced my head to the side, holding my neck still, and I felt the needle pierce my skin. It took a while, and before I knew it, everything burned.

A bloodcurdling scream left my lips, and I clawed at my skin, trying to bring out the wolfbane, to stop it from burning. But nothing worked. The acid spread through every inch of me, devouring me from within.

Their laughter echoed in my ears as they walked away, leaving me to die alone.

Then it went dark.

On opening my eyes, something felt different. No, not off, different. I felt different. Stronger. Sharper. Unfamiliar energy flowed beneath my skin.

I slowly pushed myself off the floor, a groan leaving my lips from how sore I was. The guards outside my cell stared at me like I’d grown three heads. And I watched one stumble back, his face etched in disbelief

My brow furrowed in confusion, and just as I was about to speak, my ear picked up a voice I knew all too well. David.

“Why isn’t she decaying? It’s been a day. She should be dead.” A click followed, making me freeze; he had a knife in one hand. Giving me a big smile, he stepped past the bars, locking them behind him.

My heart raced, and without thinking, I grabbed the silver bars, trying to pull them off the wall.

Pain seared into my palms as they melted my flesh, but I didn’t stop. Letting out a lord growl,  I ripped them apart. The guard stood frozen in fear as I stepped through, smoke rising from my ruined hands.

I staggered out into the dimly lit hallway, turning to David, who had frozen in place, the silver dagger now on the floor.

Why the hell was everyone staring at me like that? Horrified, wide-eyed. I was their fucking maid a few days ago.

Something was obviously weird. I turned about to run away when my eyes caught something that made even my heart stop. My hair....

It was white.

NANCY'S POV“She’s not a damn pet, Jayden,” the quiet one cut in again, sounding annoyed. “You can’t just keep her. We don’t even know where she came from.”Jayden looked at me again, tilting his head, his hazel eyes bright, like he was trying to figure me out. With the way everyone kept staring at me, I might as well have had an extra eye.“Well… maybe she can be,” he said, half-joking, but I knew he meant every word. Neven’s face, on the other hand, said everything; he was done with this whole scene. The quiet one asked, “Where are you from?”My eyes widened, and for some reason, I knew it was going to go badly if I told them the truth. So I hesitated, searching for a good enough lie.“A rogue pack.” I forced the words past my dry throat, dropping my gaze again."Then why do you look like that?"My eyes narrowed in confusion, and just as I was about to ask what he meant, Jayden spoke. His fingers touched my chin, lifting it so I’d look at him. “Doesn’t matter,” he said. “You’re wit

  • THE WHITE HAIRED ALPHA PRINCESS   chapter 3

NANCY'S POVThis had to be some sort of sick dream, I thought as I pulled my hair around, staring at it in shock. It was all white. My black shiny hair had faded into pure white."What the hell are you doing. Get her," David shrieked, and that was more than enough to have the guards and me break in reality. Before they could react, I sprang off the wall, my body moving with a speed I didn’t recognize. I darted past them, my feet barely touching the ground, not looking back. When I reached the lower level, my heart thundered in my chest. I had never moved like that before. I had never been that fast or that strong. What was happening to me?I pushed the thought aside and burst through the nearest door, heading straight for the north side of the pack. It was less guarded, but also the thickest part of the forest. If I were lucky, they wouldn’t be able to follow my scent, though even that was different now. However, the sound of boots and angry voices told me luck wasn’t on my si
