CHAPTER SIXTY- SEVEN: TINY ENCLOSED SPACE.

LUCIAN'S POV

Surrender? So funny that those fool believe that I would do that. I looked towards the passageway. I have been here a lot of time…long enough to know about the secret tunnels that lead to the woods, the woods which lead out of Green wood province, all the way to the Bay water pack. I have lived a life, I have traveled a lot, a have lived in so many existences, enough lifetimes to gain friends all over.

Bay water and Green wood packs are mortal enemies, the Alphas hate each other. Normally, nobody from Green wood pack should have an ally in Bay water. Greenwood inhabitants, humans, fairies, werewolves, whatever creature they are, so far they are members of the province, so far they were marked by the moon goddess’ priestess on the day of their birth, they…we are all taught to hate every inhabitant of Bay water province, and just like us inhabitants of bay water province are trained to kill anyone bearing the green wood province ma

  • TORN BETWEEN THE THREE   THE STILL ROOM

Chapter 101Author's POV Lucian raced through the halls almost as fast as his heart pounded against his ribcage. He needed to get to her. He could feel her slipping through his hands and for a moment he could almost see her on the floor, dead. Just as he reached the fourth floor he stopped, in front of him were two powerful wolves, snarling and in wait. The breach hadn't been complete and he would still have to fight through a couple more. His jaw flexed and his claws came out effortlessly. He would do whatever he had to, as long as he reached her in time. Back in the chamber, nothing much had changed and Alpha Caden was beginning to lose hope. That lost hope was building to anger. He turned to the witch, ready to ask her what she had done and why it hadn't worked when suddenly, his body on the slab wasn't lifeless anymore. Cassian let out a deep gasp as he took in air. He felt like he wanted to breathe in all the air and like he was under water at the same time. There was a despe

  • TORN BETWEEN THE THREE   WAITING FOR THE DELICATE

Chapter 100Author's POV Lucian was fighting his way through the guards on the ground floor as the rest made their way up. His heart pumped hard in his chest as he felt the urge to reach her. He could feel something ahappening but he wasn't sure what. He turned to Lyra who wasn't far behind him, “I'm going to check the prisons down" he told her and veered off from the trail to a place he guessed his father would keep her. The hallway was silent and there were no guards. He was just a few feet from the room when a body burst out from the side, ready to land a punch. Just before it could hit him Lucian dodged the punch and threw another of his. It was one of the more experienced guards, he had seen this man with light. He looked him in the eyes as he dug a claw into his chest and ripped his heart out. There was no scream, no struggle - he was just gone. A few other men burst out as well and Lucian dealt with them in the same fashion. By the time he was done he had five dead men at

  • TORN BETWEEN THE THREE   INTO THE TUNEL

Chapter 99Lucian's POV The decision had been made and for a day we had made our plans, it was now time to carry them out. My fists were folded as we waited just outside the palace. Nerena was beside me, her presence calm like it always was and I managed to stay still. We were waiting for her, Lyra. Once she was here then that was all we needed. We would attack. We had the rogues behind us and it surprised me their number. Even though I had lived among them, I was just learning that they were far more in number than I thought. It was then that the ruffle of leaves as approaching footsteps came towards us that I saw her. Her face was squeezed into a frown, her eyes scanned until they met mine and she stopped just in front of us. “My men have surrounded the palace with the rogues, they're coming in from all sides, you know Caden" she said, giving me a look. I smiled, more to myself than to her. She was speaking like I didn't know my father. Of course I knew him and one thing I knew

  • TORN BETWEEN THE THREE   REAR GEM

Chapter 98Author's POV Rhea hadn't made any discovery to her disappointment. Everything had been stable that night. She had been taken back to her room later but she wasn't kept there with the chains on. She couldn't do anything other than wait. Her heart raced with every minute that passed. Night had come, the sun had risen and nobody had been to see her. It was later that day that the door opened as a maid walked in. This time there wasn't any food, just a drink. As soon as she drank it, she felt the strength return to her body. She could finally move without all the ache in her body. The maid left almost immediately and outside Rhea could see nothing had changed. There wasn't a rebellion, at least not yet. She ached to do something but she was there again all day and then the sun fell. Before the door opened she could sense it - nothing had changed. Tonight she was going to be sacrificed. She knew it. The tall and huge man walked up to her this time, gripping her strongly as

  • TORN BETWEEN THE THREE   A FEW DAYS

Chapter 97Lucian's POV A few days had passed - a few days too many if you asked me and nothing had happened. Lyra hadn't come back but her message had been clear to both Nerena and I. And Rhea - my Rhea, I hadn't saved her yet from my father's hands. How I dreaded the thought of it. What would he do to her? If he was so desperate for Cassian, God only knew to what extent he would go so he could get him, he wouldn't care about her life. My father who had looked me in the eye and shot me to kill me, of course he wouldn't care. My heart pounded for Rhea, I needed to find her - had to save her. But Nerena, she hadn't budged entirely. Her goals were still her goals. She wouldn't help me unless I pledged myself and Lucian never pledged himself to anyone. The thought of finding Shiraya came to me but I couldn't even feel her from here. Did she know I was here? Could she save me? From what I knew so far, the answer to that was a no. This time, I had to save myself. But I couldn't do it

  • TORN BETWEEN THE THREE   WASN'T SURE

Chapter 96Rhea's POV I wasn't sure how long I had alone. Would Caden give me days or just mere hours? My intuitions screamed the latter but I could only hope for the former. There was so much still to learn and I would do that before he came back. My eyes strayed to Cassian, the way his pale and lifeless body just lay there but I didn't move any closer. For now the whispers had stopped, I couldn't feel him reaching out to me - the ache had disappeared and it was only me, with as much time as I could to really learn what this ritual was. My eyes drift to the clearly sacred area that had been preserved for this purpose - this ritual. There is a small pool of water that shines blue but when the light hits it from a certain angle, the color slightly tilts and for a moment I see it - red like blood except it disappears a moment later. There was a pull in the air. I couldn't exactly lay a finger on it. Something pulled me closer to the area and at the same time, I wanted to run from it
