Sara p.o.v

After our eventful day of shopping with Simran and the girls, we finally had a park we decided to spend most of our time together and enjoy our lives.

Until one morning my mum told me to ask Simran to visit our house sometimes. I was scared it was not that I was afraid to bring her to our house, it was that I'd never brought any of my schoolmates.

And Simran would be the first one to come

I thought of any excuse I could make but my mum would not listen.

So I went to school and I met Simran this time she wasn't with our group but some guy I couldn't recognize because his back was facing me.

Once I caught up with her I wanted to ask who the guy was.

So I asked her

"Hey who were you talking to?" I asked.

"He's my classmate, his name is Max" she answered. I wanted to ask more but I let it flow.

After we reached our lockers, I asked her if I could invite her to dinner, I wasn't expecting the answer she gave me but she said

"Of course I would love to".

"Great then I will meet you after school," I said

As usual, my classes were the same. After school, I met Simran at the parking line.

Once we got in we stopped at our gate I could imagine Simran's expression when she saw our house. I mean no one chooses the way they should leave right?

I opened our gates and showed her inside, I couldn't believe that my mom was standing by the door with a smile on her face. It was funny, she welcomes Simran with open arms and we started talking.

During dinner my mom asked Simran about her life and all that while I was the leaving room, my mom showed pictures of me and we ended up having fun.

When it was for Simran to leave followed her to her car, she complimented me about my mom and she would like to come again soon.

We said goodbye to each other and entered her car but the engine got stuck and she was unable to start it she was furious, she tried to call her brother to come and pick her but his phone was dead.

I offered her to stay for the night and she could probably call him in the morning.

She left him a message and we both entered home.

I told mum what happened she was happy to let her stay. I gave her my pyjamas so she changed her clothes.

Sara: Hey Simran can I ask you a question?

Simran: yeah sure

Sara: why did you look sad when my mom asked you about your mom

Simran: truthfully, it's just that my mom has been busy ever since we moved here. All she does is work 24/7. she barely has time for me. I'm happy for you that yours is always around you.

I felt sorry for her I mean despite living like a princess she still yearned for her mother's attention.

Sara: goodnight

Simran: you too.

I couldn't believe how life can be so strange, when we have one thing we can't have it as we expect it to be. Just like Simran she lives in a wealthy life but she lacks her parent's love and attention.

I guess we were meant to be, two people with different backgrounds yet we became friends. Guess life can be full of unexpected surprises....

"Glad I met you Simran" I said going to sleep.
