FORTY FOUR

That morning Ezra was ready with his black shirt and jacket slung over his arm. He opened the curtains in Mila’s room wide, causing Mila, who was still asleep, to wake up immediately with an annoyed groan because her sleep had been disturbed by the man.

"Close the curtains, I'm still sleepy." Mila groaned in annoyance and hugged her pillow tightly again.

Ezra just stared at her blankly. Mila always tries to annoy him. Just like the previous morning, Mila didn't want to wake up if he woke her up on purpose. But after he left to do chores outside the house, Mila would wake up by herself to start her monotonous activities.

Ezra left the room and closed the door behind him slowly. Today Mila can sleep all day so she doesn't know what he will be doing out there.

“Good Morning. You were very neat this morning."

“This is an important day. What are you doing?"

“Prepare some food for Mila. If today I have to go out to do some things, I want her to not be short of food.”
