Chapter 13

Author’s POV

As soon as Aileen entered through the portal, her senses were assaulted by the powerful scent of werewolves and the spark of energy. In her line of sight was a vast area of land that was brimming with enticing greenery, the musty aroma of ancient forests, and the scent of the moist ground. The moon hung low in the sky, and its light shone brightly upon all of the werewolves as well as the towering trees.

"Does time pass in a different way here?" Aileen had a question. In the other world, it was morning, but here in this place, it's already dark. However, based on the fact that Joshua gave a dismissive nod, it did not appear that this was the case.

"The light of the moon always casts a shadow over this world. The elders say that the end of the world will come the day when the sun rises at this location. At the very least, this is what they believe."
