The front door slams behind me as I step into the house. My entire body feels heavy, like someone strapped weights to my shoulders. I can barely keep my eyes open.
"Please take him," I say to one of the maids, practically shoving Ezra into her arms. "Feed him. Give him a bath."
I don't wait for her response. My feet carry me down the hallway.
The scene from the courtroom keeps replaying in my head, Ivy's face, the way she lied so confidently.
