After struggling with his bed for a long time, Devlin sat up on his bed and he can’t able to sleep peacefully when his mate is in pain. He tried to sleep but both his heart and his stupid wolf wants to be with Lucy and what his brain can do about that? He slept again with the determination that he will sleep this time, but simply after two seconds, he stood up and ran near the door of his room. He peeked outside to see whether Connor or Cara is in the hall but when he didn’t find anyone, he slowly started to walk towards her room with baby steps.

‘Go fast. Why are you walking like you break your bone? Our mate is the one who is in the pain, not you. How stupid she is to protect you?’ His wolf said wanting Devlin to exchange his wolf with anyone.

“Are you bipolar Den? You’re the one who came out and killed Seer not me who is a simple human” Devlin said and his wolf went silent knowing that they both are not in a situation to play. They need to have their mate first.
