Chapter nine

Arianna arrived at her marriage counselor's office for a meeting with her. Her secretary handed a note to Arianna which the counselor dropped with her. The counselor was out of town. The note was a list containing what Arianna should do to entice her husband. Arianna smiled after reading the note and thanked the secretary and returned home. She quickly placed the note in her box. She picked up her phone and dialed Kimberly's number. She asked her to meet up with her at the mall for some shopping. 

Arianna picked her bag and left for the mall. Kimberly arrived before her 'cause she was close to the mall. She waited for Arianna in car, glancing at her wrist watch continuously. Arianna arrived at the mall and parked beside Kimberly's car. 

      "You startled me Kim. We stepped out of our cars the same time. I was startled"

      "Don't be. Well... you're late. Why?

     "Sorry. How did you get here so soon?

    "I was close to the mall. Tell me...why did you insist on meeting with me at the mall?

    "Let's do some shopping" Arianna said dragging Kimberly along.

    "Shopping? Any special occasion and what sort of outfits do you wanna buy?

   "Sexy outfits. Super sexy and enticing gowns"

      "Sexy gowns? Hold on... Arianna..be honest with me, what's going on?

    "Nothing. Just wanna look different, you know... tasting different ice-cream flavours. So where do we start shopping? Over there. I bet they have new stocks"

   "Okay. Shall we then?

     "Help me pick out nice gowns"

    "Like this? Do you like this?

    "Oh my, Kim... that's not what I want. Hey Kim... check this out. How is it?

    "Unless you wanna be named. That's so skimpy"

    "Naked? I like it. I'm taking this and any cloth like this. Kim darling...I just want skimpy clothes which will reveal all my curves and cleavages. What do you say about this one?

     "Arianna, be honest with me. Can you wear that to work? I bet you'll be uncomfortable"

     "Who said they're for work. I'm wearing them at home of course"

    "Home? But you live with your in laws. Won't your parents in laws be uncomfortable with your new style of dressing?

     "C'mon, can't I at least try something to keep my marriage going? How is this?

    "Nice. Now I get what you wanna buy. Also include transparent sleepwears, sexy lingerie too.   "Thank you Kim. You're the best. I'll take this, this and that too. Kim...did you select any for me?

     "Yeah. Five.. here they are'

     "Thanks. Hey, can you ring these up. Here's my card" Arianna said to one of the staff.

     "Sure ma'am"

    "Wanna check out more shops? Arianna asked Kimberly

    "Sure. At your service my lady"

    "Here ma'am" the draft said handing over shopping bags to them.

    "Thank you. Let's get going Kimberly"

    "Right behind you"

Arianna visited more shops and bought more clothes. They returned to their cars.

     "You're the best Kim. Thanks for helping me out today. I really appreciate it all"

    "Anything for you babe. I have to get going. Gerald will soon be back. Gotta get things into place.   "Sure sweetheart. Go ahead. Take care"

    "I will. Bye"

Gavin and  Arya bumped into each other again. She apologized and turned to leave but he grasped here hand and pulled her back.

    ""I don't know why they decided to employ absentminded beings. You bumped into me again"

    "I'm so sorry. I was lost sir. I mean...

    "You're listening to music and dancing. So uncultured"

    "I wasn't dancing. I swear X.   "Have we met somewhere outside this office, cause you look a bit familiar"

     "No. Not at all sir"

   "Your name..."

    "Arya sir"

    "Arya...?

    "Yes. Arya Zacharias"

     "Arya..be careful...this is an office not some dance club. If you love dancing, then go and join a dance academy. Understood?

    "Yes sir. Sir...may I know your name?

    "What? Gavin glared at her

    "My apologies. I'll run along sir"

Arya rushed back to her department and sat on her desk. A staff approached her with a file.

    "Arya...I need your help X.   "What is it sir?

    "Take these files to the CEO.    "What? CEO? Why should I be the one to take them to the him? You should do it sir. I'm a newbie"

    "Not an excuse. Have them. Now get going"

   "Sir.  Sir... you goddamn being. Oops... I hope he didn't hear me swear at him. CEO's office...here I nervously come."

Arya got to Gavin's office. She took a deep breath, knocked twice and walked in. Gavin was busy with his laptop and was on a call. Arya dropped the files on his table.

    "Sir...the files..."

    "I've checked it out. The wine will be ready . Yes...meet with the VP marketing department and discuss with him. Yes, yes. He's a good guy and he will do a nice job..sure"

    "Sir..the files"

    "I know" he said without looking at her.

He stood up and went to his file cabinet, opened it and took out a file. "Yes... I've seen the file..yes..it contains everything you just said on the phone. I'll make sure we meet up with your demands. Trust me. Thank you so much. It's nice doing business with you. Yes.. we'll supply the wine to you as soon as possible. Yes. Yes sure. Okay. Thank youx he hung up and went through the file. He dropped it and stretched forth his hand signaling for the files Arya dropped on the table while he went through his phone

    "Words please sir..I don't understand sign language. I didn't learn that'

    "Goodness. You? Why are you in my office?

    "You? Hold on. This is the CEO'S office. What are you doing here? Are you his secretary? 

    "Secretary? Wrong guess"

    "Who then? You can't possibly be the CEO. Hold on! Oh my goodness! No way! You're the CEO?  She said in disbelief.

    "The files missy"

  "Yes sir. Oh my world. I never knew that the CEO is actually a young dude and that's you. I thought the CEO was quite an old man. You know?

    "I don't know"

    "So..the staff who gave you these files...where is he?

   "He...uhmmm...I don't know sir"

    "Ask him to report to my office this instant. No...tell him to meet me at the conference room immediately. He has a lot of explanation to give. You may leave now"

     "Yes sir...but sir... I'm not in trouble right?

    "Why? Wanna be in one?

    "Definitely no. I'll leave then sir"

    "You should. Get him this instant"

    "Right away sir"

Arya quickly left Gavin's office. Just a few steps away from the office she saw the staff who gave her the files.

    " A moment please. The CEO wanna see you right now"

    "Say what now? You're indeed a comedian"

    "I'm not. I'm being real. He seemed really furious when he saw the files"

    "Sir Gavin wanna see me?

   "Yes. Immediately. Get going"

    "Hold on. How was his mood? Grumpy...?

    "Yeah. Really grumpy. He almost lashed out on me"

    "Oh my. I'll get going" he said rushing out.

    "Yes. You deserve that. Always bugging me and bossing me around with your ugly being. But..why do the CEO have such a grumpy face and mood today. Well...none of my business"
