Charming Him

After leaving Castia father's office, I felt a certain kind of confidence that I didn't think I had before. A part of me felt good to know that there was no stopping me now but another part of me still felt nervous.

I am nervous because a lot of things might go wrong which includes Castia or my mother finding out about what had happened.

What's worse is the fact that her father could actually tell on me. I mean, who would believe the words of a twenty two year old girl over a man old enough to be her father?

I doubt that he would. There was a lot of things at stake if he did and he wouldn't want to risk that.

"There you are!" I heard Castia's voice from my thoughts and looked up to see her walking towards me.

"You've been gone for a while that I almost came in search of you." She said, stopping a few inches away from me.

She was coming to find me? Well, thank goodness because then she might've heard or seen everything and that's something I don't want to happen.

I might have an unhealthy crush on her father but the last thing I wanted was for anything to happen to our friendship.

"What happened? You look pale." She touched my cheeks in worry but I only forced a smile.

"It's nothing."

"It can't be nothing if you look like this." She persisted. "Tell me, did my father scold you back there? Did he say anything to upset you? Although I doubt that he would."

I shook my head in the negative, wishing that he actually did scold me but instead, he had called me a child, made fun of my feelings for him, rejected me and even threatened to report me despite all my seduction.

"I failed a test and he wanted me to retake it. It's a very difficult test and I honestly don't know if I want to. That's why I'm a bit worried right now." I informed her, concealing the full truth of the matter.

"I'm so sorry Nevaeh." She consoled me. "Maybe we can study for the test together if you'd like. I'm more than willing to help."

"That will be lovely. How about we schedule our study sessions from now on, at your place?" I asked and she stared at me in shock.

She was taken aback by my request.

"What?" She questioned, eyes widened in shock. "Are you willingly requesting to study at my place?"

"What's wrong? You sound surprised."

"I am surprised." She admitted. "You never willingly agree to come over no matter how much I beg you to. You always come up with excuses and most times, we end up studying at your place instead."

"Well, I see how wrong it is now and I'm going to need all the help I can get." I bit down on my lower lip, hoping that I sound as convincing as I wanted.

"Well, that's spontaneous but I'm in." She said with a smile.

"But are you sure that's the only reason why you want to come over? Are you hiding anything from me? Is something bothering you that you're afraid to tell me?" She eyed me curiously as if urging me to spill my secret.

"Well, there is something else but I'll tell you when I come over. Does tonight work for you? Cause I need to be fully prepared for the test before I take it."

She nodded once. "It does. You know that you're welcome at my place anytime so just drop by whenever."

"Thank you. I'll make sure to pack light." I smiled happily, a feeling of excitement brewing inside me. I know that it's time to make my move and one way or another, I'm going to make her father eat his words.

That evening, I went over to Castia's house. Her father wasn't at home. According to her, he went out for a drink with his friends and might come home late but I knew better.

He probably wasn't home because he doesn't want to face me. I figured that maybe he was trying to avoid me because I'm pretty sure that Castia had told him that I would be coming over today.

Who would've thought that the tables would turn this way? Back then, I was the shy one. The one always running and hiding away from him and now, it's the complete opposite.

"I had our nanny prepare something for us before she leaves for the night. It'll be ready soon." Castia informs me as we head upstairs to her bedroom.

"So, you said you wanted to talk to me about something?" She walked over to her bed and sat down, eyes staring at me with intent but I didn't exactly know how to start the conversation without giving her the wrong ideas.

"Is it that serious?" She pressed when she noticed me rubbing my fingers nervously.

"Well, not quite." I grabbed a throw pillow and took the empty spot next to her.

"I need your help."

"What is it about? You know that I'm always here for you right?"

I nodded before taking a deep breath. "You see, there's this guy that I think likes me but he's kinda scared to open up about his feelings so I need your help. What should I do if I really want him to tell me how he feels?"

"Oh my goodness!" She shrieked excitedly. "You Nevaeh? You like someone?"

"Well," I shrugged. "I kinda do but I mean, I know that he likes me too and I just want him to open up and you know, accept his feelings for me."

"Okay, this just got interesting." She sits up. "Who is he? Do I know him?"

"Of course not." I refuted flatly. "I mean, you will soon if you help me win him over."

"But I thought you said yesterday night that you weren't interested in dating anyone? What changed so suddenly?" She asked and a memory of her father eating me out on the kitchen counter flashed through my mind.

I smiled at the thought of it and I felt my insides tingle.

"That was yesterday. A lot can change in just a few hours." I answered, trying to hide my smile.

"You must really like this person seeing that your cheeks are so flushed just by thinking about them." She teased but I only shrugged. I mean, she would rip my head off if she knew who the mystery man is.

"And how long have you two known each other?" She went further to ask. "We're always together and I don't think that I've seen you with anybody that's not me. How did you even know this person? When did you two become so close? Have you been seeing each other? And why didn't you tell me?"

"I promise that I'll tell you everything when the time is right but now, I need your help, please." I pleaded. "You're the only one who knows how to charm a guy and make him fall for you so I'll appreciate every help you give me."

"I just need a few pointers to get the game started."

"Alright. I'll teach you what to do." She placed her hands on mine to offer

support. "When I'm done, that boy won't be able to refuse you even if he tried, I promise."
