Chapter 170

I think he owns houses in various countries all over the world, the cars, goodness. Nora thought to herself in excitement. Zack could see right through Nora's thoughts, he chuckled while he stealthily crossed his legs. "Nora you really do have a wild imagination, don't you? keep dreaming because the only way you will ever get close to enjoying the kind of money I have is In your dreams". Nora dropped her head, she knew Zack was right. Meanwhile, Alex was having fun with a couple of girls in his room. " Baby I think you should answer your phone...it might be urgent" one of the girls said to Alex. "hmm ok let me check" Alex said as he grabbed his phone and looked at the name displayed on the screen.

"Fortune" he lazily threw his phone aside "it's not important, shall we continue?". Fortune on the other side felt helpless, She dialed Asia's number and the call soon connected "Fortune, sorry I was a little held up, what's up? you miss me?". Fortune on the other end chuckled "well yes, I miss you..when will you come back?". Asia on the other smiled " I will only come back when you open your eyes and see Alex for the pervert that he is". Fortune sighed helplessly "Asia please will you stop this drama? anyway, I am going to see my parents in city A, I will be there for some days". " When are you leaving?" Asia asked directly. "tomorrow" is all fortune said. 

"well, I see..I will wait for you to come back.. Now take care of yourself and remember not to let anyone fool you. You don't have to chase your boyfriend around, You are fortune Williams, intelligent, graceful, and beautiful walk with your head held up high, don't let anyone break you down. Don't ask me why I am saying this. Just listen to me and always remember my words". Fortune sighed helplessly and just nodded " yes ma'am, I understand" fortune lazily responded. "Fortune heed to my words, I am being serious here" Asia reminded fortune who seemed not to be paying attention. "ok alright Asia I get it..stop lecturing me already". Asia on the other end rolled her eyes.

"Ok, take care of yourself and have a safe journey," Asia said then hung up. The next morning, Fortune left for city A, she couldn't wait to see her parents. She planned to give them both a surprise visit. She couldn't wait to see their shocked expressions. After hours of travel, fortune arrived in city A, looking at her watch, it was almost 5 pm, she quickly got a taxi that took her straight to her parent's villa. She rang the doorbell a few times then waited, after more than ten seconds, the door was pushed open, fortune quietly stood in her position and brightly smiled at her mother who seemed shocked "Ma, will you invite me inside or will you keep looking at me in a shocked state?" fortune suddenly asked. "oh my baby, my little girl, come to mum" Mrs. Williams said as she embraced fortune tightly. 

"M-Ma you are squeezing me" fortune said as she tried to pull away from the hug. "oh oh I'm sorry my dear, please come in, how have you been? how did you suddenly show up here? you didn't tell mum that you were coming like you usually do...Is there something wrong?". Fortune smiled as she sat on the sofa beside her mother. " no mum, everything is fine, I just thought of giving you and Dad a surprise visit..by the way, where is Dad?" fortune asked as she looked around. At this moment, the door was pushed open and Mr. Williams walked in and was shocked to see his daughter seated on the sofa. "Dad, you are here" fortune quickly stood up and hugged her father "oh, oh I see my little girl now enjoys giving her parents surprise visits.

Or is it that your mother forgot to tell me you were coming?". Fortune giggled like a little girl "no she didn't tell me she was coming..as you said it, it was a surprise visit" Mrs Williams said with a smile.  The family of three enjoyed their themselves and spent the few days together till fortune returned back to city B.

Meanwhile, Zack made sure that nora was sentenced and got the punishment she deserved. Nora's mother on the other hand was heartbroken. Finding out that her own daughter caused her husband's death, she was shattered. Zack also made sure that little Jasper was happy and living a comfortable life. 

"Asia, I have been trying to call you since yesterday, why were you not answering my calls?" fortune asked with a little annoyance. "I am so so sorry fortune, sorry..I forgot my phone at Chris's office" Asia responded apologetically...."ok, ok it's fine, I am back now, just thought of letting you know". Asia on the other end smiled "Finally, I will come tomorrow, I can't come today cause there is something I am helping Chris with". Fortune nodded "ok, alright Asia, I will see you tomorrow, let me just check up on Alex, talk later," Fortune said then directly hung up. She prepared herself and went straight to Alex's small villa.

She rang the doorbell a few times before walking in. Alex sat on the sofa having a glass of wine as usual. Fortune just smiled and went to sit beside Alex. She stretched her arms in an attempt to hug Alex but he quickly pushed her arms away. Fortune was shocked and stared at Alex blankly "Alex, what's wrong? why did you do that? did I do something wrong? ok if that's the case, whatever wrong thing I did to you, I apologize for it..please let's not argue, you know I missed you so much" fortune said in a light voice. Alex chuckled "oh so now you don't know what you did? are you forgetting you left without informing me?

Yet you dare act like everything is fine and normal between us?" Alex said in anger. Fortune raised her brow, "Alex, is that why you are acting this way? I called you a couple of times before I left for city A but you didn't answer my calls, neither did you bother to call back..You only called me two days after" fortune retorted. "oh how pathetic fortune, is that the kind of excuse you decided to make up? why didn't you wait for me to call you before leaving?"
