Alexander's POV I didn't expect her to go and see Lucas. I had secretly followed her when I heard she arrived. I knew she was going to see Diane, and I thought they might have a bad conversation, but to my surprise, she actually outwitted Diane. Diane was being so extremely rude but she was patient enough to let things slide by. I know she has other plans in mind since she is giving Diane leniency. I could also see that she was angry which meant that she had that anger towards us because she thinks we are giving Diane preferential treatment. How am I supposed to tell her that it's not the same way she is saying things? Diane is not getting preferential treatment but we just don't want things to escalate further. We are cowards for not being able to protect the woman we claim to want and she is the one doing things to protect us now. Because she would have not let this go if she wasn't thinking about us. I honestly don't know how to repay her back for everything she has been doing
Aria's POV I went down to the dungeon to see Lucas. Just looking at him from afar, I could tell the brothers were not talking with him. The only preferential treatment they gave was to Diane, and that made me angry. Lucas was in a much run down dungeon and he was also chained. He looked very miserable and it made me happy. I'm not supposed to pity him and I don't feel any pity for him. I want to see the same thing happening to my sister even though I don't know if the alpha is keeping to his promise. But I think Alexander sent someone to watch over them. If they are not going to keep their promise then I guess the whole world will have to know their secrets. Thanks to Edgar who used this to redeem himself for everything he has done to me in the past. The moment he saw me, he looked like he wanted to kill me. That anger burning inside him was what I needed. I wanted to use that to show him that he was nothing. He got so angry that he wanted to come at me, but the chains were restric
Chapter 118Aria's POV “I'm here to save you.” I said to her, but she doesn't seem to believe what I'm saying. “Don't bullshit me. You want me to thank you or what? Or are you going to use it against me later? Do you want me to become your slave? Keep dreaming.” She fired at me angrily. I guess she is really beyond saving. But for the bigger picture, I'm going to leave this for now.“I am telling you the truth that I really came to save you. But if you choose not to believe me, there isn't really much I can do about it.” I turned around again as if I wanted to leave, and she stopped me. “Stop! Don't leave! How exactly are you going to save me? I did all that to you and you want to save me? What is this about? Let's hear it.” She demanded. I finally smiled because she was going to be in my depths. Even if she wanted to do something, she would think twice before doing it because the next time she does anything, it would be over for her. Having powerful parents or not, I don't think
Aria's POV I can't believe he actually brought Diane back because I complained about her. I mean, I literally refused to talk to them for days because of this. I thought they were being partial but now they did this to make me happy? But... Why do they look disappointed in me though?I don't think I've said anything wrong. I jumped on to hug him and thank him for bringing that murderer back. Why do they look like they didn't expect this from me? Should I not be happy that they brought her back? Is it that they are not happy because they still see her as their cousin and they don't want anything to happen to her out of my hatred?"You don't look too happy that your cousin is back. You can take her back if you want. Let's reject each other so that we don't have anything to do together again." I suggested to them. There was shockwitting all over their faces probably because they didn't expect me to mention rejection so fast but do they think I'm a push over? Do they think they are go
Alexander's POV She's mad at us and she has every right to be mad at us. But the truth is that none of these was planned by us at all. We were all caught off guard. How were we supposed to know that Diane was going to bribe the warriors to let her go and also intimidate them at the same time? She used that opportunity to go back home and she even left a message for us, telling us she will be back. Is going to get the support of her parents and make us look like the bad person. I know she's not going to tell them the truth either. How do we explain that you were just trying to look for ways to punish her and please Aria, but we ended up losing her because of our stupidity? This kind of thing is hard to say. She won't believe whatever we say right now. "What do we do now? Aria's getting the wrong idea and she's very mad at us. We need to reconcile before she thinks of rejecting us. Our relationship finally got good and now look what is happening, I told you Diane was up to no good."
Aria's POVThe brothers were not saying anything for a while as they all looked at me like something was wrong. What exactly is going on in their heads and why are they not saying anything yet? Could it be that they still want to speak up for Diane? Diane was dragged away a while ago and they still were not able to say anything. No apologies or anything to make me feel assured that Diane would be punished for what she did. Are they looking for ways to beg me or did they just did that to please me so that I won't say they were being partial?"I almost died a while ago and you all don't even have anything to say to me. You've been quiet since Diane was dragged away. Can you tell me what is going on in your minds?" I questioned them. Alexander moved closer to me, "About Diane, I wanted to say—""Get out." I cut him off before he could complete his statement. They all looked at me in shock. Maybe I've become too confident to talk to them but it doesn't matter to me anyway. If they deci
