Chapter 7

Ashley

So this was the stench that comes from rogues? I had clearly stated that being a rogue was far better than being Stanley's mate, but right now, I felt like swallowing my words back.

This means I would have the same stench as them. I would be anything else other than a rogue; I closed my eyes, saying a silent prayer to the moon god.

Words could not explain how I felt at the moment. I could hear the loud rhythm of my heart, it felt like it would burst out of my chest in no time.

I was overwhelmed with a sense of panic and confusion.

I could feel sharp piercing gazes as they glared hungrily and angrily at me.

It made me feel like a prey amongst them.

I have no idea how many there were, but I knew I had no help. I was completely outnumbered.

Finding Lenor happened several hours ago, so yeah, I wasn't good in combat.
