Ash’s POV

“So how’s the meeting? Did you convince him to ally with us?”

The voice of my worried mother greeted me as soon as I entered the door. Judging by the way she spoke, Cassie might be staying the night elsewhere. This allowed us to speak freely about the Blue Ribbon Union.

Yes, my mother was part of this rebellion. In fact, she together with other wives of the council was very much invested in this. This was another proud moment for me as a son, of course.

“The meeting turned out great, mother,” I answered with a smile. A sigh of relief came out of her throat.

I sat on the couch to rest my body. The events that had happened to Moon Valley these last few months were emotionally draining for me. It all started with Aria’s death followed by the return of our dreaded alpha.
