Aria's POV

After Adrian’s announcement of our engagement, he immediately called the Moon Valley council for a meeting to discuss some paperwork to make the betrothal official. Meanwhile, I decided to stay at Mom’s house for a moment to spend some time with my daughter.

The news about our engagement came to everyone’s shock. Well, Cassie’s reaction was already expected. Meanwhile, Hunter seemed to be more accepting while mom, although already agreed to it, still had some concerns.

“Are you sure you want to do this, Aria? Did Adrian or the council pressure you to get married?”

I hugged my mother from behind who was currently slicing the sandwich we will eat. I leaned my head to her shoulders. “No, mom. Nobody pressured me to do it. This is what I want.”

“But don’t you think it’s a little rushed? You just came back to this pack after living on your own. A lot had changed—”

I would love it if Adrian got rid of his bed before sharing it with Aria. I can’t imagine being comfortable doing things with him on a bed he’s shared with my sister.
