“Put your back into it, you stupid whore!”

Those were the words she heard as one of the females of the pack house spat at her dirty face as she scrubbed the floor.

Kiara had been dragged out of her house in chains even though she had volunteered to take her old man’s place. She figured it was meant to break her spirit.

“There’s a party in the pack house tonight and I want all the floors to be sparkling clean, is that clear!” Hansel, the female werewolf that was put in charge of Kiara , spat out.

But there was no response from Kiara’s side. She just kept scrubbing away.

Hansel was not happy about her silence. There were a dozen other slaves in the Pack house and they all answered to her so Kiara was not going to be any different.

“Speak up, you whore!” Hansel yelled as she kicked Kiara in the stomach.

“Argh!” Kiara exclaimed as she curled her body up in a ball as she lay in the wet dirty soapy water.

“I’m talking to you!” Hansel yelled as she stooped lower to her level and yanked her head up by pulling Kiara's red hair in her clenched fist.

“You will listen to me, you dirty slave.” She sneered into Kiara’s ear.

Kiara was stubborn, she clenched her jaw and refused to say a word.

Hansel jammed Kiara’s face against the hard, wet floor and brought it back up.

She felt her forehead moisten and a wet streaming down her noise from the bleeding.

“Do you understand?” Hansel let out a cold, sinister whisper into Kiara’s ear.

“Yes.” Kiara let out in a whimper, finally.

This didn’t mean she had given up or that her spirit had been broken.

If she continued to prove stubborn this early, it would be a huge inconvenience as she could not heal herself of the physical afflictions that this female was going to inflict on her.

Kiara was the only werewolf in the pack that still hadn’t transformed at her age.

So, unlike all the other werewolves, she could not heal from your injuries.

“Good. Know your place and you’ll live long enough to pay off your useless father’s debts.” Hansel finally loosened the tension and let Kiara’s hair go.

“You are on party duty tonight.” Hansel began as she stood up to her feet. “Which means you clean up every spill of alcohol and serve every guest. Do exactly as they say and I won’t have to shove my nails deep into your pretty eyes.”

Kiara could sense a sting of jealousy in her words. Kiara had striking red hair and beautiful blue eyes.

Without even doing anything, she was already drawing the wrong attention from the high ranking females.

If Hansel was already feeling threatened, it was only a matter of time before all the other females connived to make her stay in the pack house completely miserable.

Even more miserable than it had already promised to be.

“Make sure you stay as quiet and invisible as possible. No one wants to see your peasant self.”

Kiara didn’t want to be seen either. She was wearing her dirty farm clothes.

Soon enough, the night came and with it came dozens of wolves coming into the pack house for the party.

Music played, there was a lot of dancing and Kiara heard moaning sounds coming from a couple rooms in the house.

Nothing out of character for a party Alpha Denzel party.

His parties were famous for its orgies and sexcapades. The cubs born from his parties were named after them.

The males and females who attended usually attended to get down and dirty. So when she caught a glimpse of her mate’s dirty brown hair, her heart broke a little.

His tongue was down another female’s throat and one palm cupped her breast.

“Xanvier?” She whispered as she lifted her arm and gently placed it over his shoulder. For those split seconds she hoped she was just mistaken.

But she wasn’t.

He had been ignoring her for a couple of weeks and now she knew exactly why.

“Kiara?” He whispered, almost like he wasn’t sure and then she watched as he rolled his eyes in his socket and let out a frustrated sigh, like she was just some sort of inconvenience.

“Ugh… I though I finally got rid of you.” He let out in frustration. “ And what are you doing in an Alpha Denzel party, you slut!?”

“Xanvier, don’t even dare!” She let out. “ You’ve ignored me for weeks and now you’re accusing me like you weren’t just shoving your tongue into another female?”

By now, that section of the party seemed to have taken a pause and the little argument she was having with her so called mate had gotten attention.

The music was lowered now. And their argument was now for everyone to hear.

So much for being as quiet and invisible as possible.

“Why wouldn’t I be with another female? You’re such a prude, you won’t even let your own mate touch or mark you.” He spat out. “What use is having a virgin female if you can’t fuck her?!”

“Shut up, Xanvier!” Kiara screamed out.

“Even if I wanted to, I wouldn’t even touch you.” He said as he took few steps closer to her. “You smell wrong and disgusting.” He spat a spiteful whisper into her ear.

It was true. She had always felt differently and so alone in the pack. Everyone knew.

“And you don’t exactly look appealing right now either. You’re beneath me, Kiara” He said, referring to her dirty and torn, raggedy farm clothes.

Their audience let out mocking laughs and chuckles. Kiara’s cheeks flushed with embarrassment.

In that situation, Xanvier expected her to cry or beg him but he didn’t know her enough.

“Fuck you, Xanvier.” She sneered . “And you can choke on your own balls.”

“Oh, there will be no need. There are many females for that.” He let out as he pulled the female he was making out with closer to himself. “And if it’s not already self explanatory, I reject you, Kiara!”

Kiara did not say another word. She just turned and walked away to continue her cleaning and serving.

She was not going to let a pathetic ex boyfriend break her. But what she didn’t know was her act of defiance was also witnessed by the Alpha Mafia King, Denzel.

He had been watching from upstairs in a robe with a whine glass in his hand and a female wrapped around and watching Kiara with him.

“Looks like this one doesn’t break like the others.” The female said as she rubbed his chest sensually.

And in that moment, a glint of curiosity sparkled in Denzel’s eyes.
