Gradually Julius’s minions were left without a source, and the clans were able to fight back effectively. Soon their chants began once more, asking for the life of one who was already gone, insisting that Caesar had let him escape.

"Arlen," Luca felt a change in his mate. Arlen never glared at him like this. His eyes were crimson, like the blood-red moon. Rufus sought to keep Arlen in check, reminding him that Julius deserved such a horrid fate.

"Rufus, now is not the time," Luca stepped on his toes. Rufus was familiar with Arlen acting up when he couldn't have his way. He failed to see the gravity of his brother's grief.

"Rufus…shut the hell up."

Rufus flinched. Arlen played out words he never mustered the courage to say before, to his face. And the tone it carried left the alpha aghast.

Marching like a ghost, Arlen snubbed Luca and Rufus, even as they tried to stand in his way. Moon quickly wrapped around his arm, just before Arlen left the ground in a power jump.

"Son." Caesar was

Caesar and the other rulers faced a grave challenge. Arlen ploughed through anyone in his path. He crashed Damaris’ motherships and tore through their men with merciless ease.“Did it hurt? What happened to your villages and your families?” he asked with chilling calm. “Did it tear your mind apart?” His grin darkened. “Because I still remember losing mine to your foolish ego.”His eyes met Theoden’s.His body sizzled with negative energy in its purest form. “You wanted to lynch Julius for what he did.” He scanned the faces around him. “Then it’s only fair I let you pay for yours… Note, I have no use for survivors.”Arlen lunged into the crowd, hands contorting as he wielded his mysterious weapon, Moon. Zariah was too stunned to keep fighting when the loving prince who had returned to Ingram sliced beastmen in half, bathing in their blood with glee. She wasn’t the only one.All those who loved Arlen feared the worst.“Rufus, what do we do?” Luca turned to the beast-man who knew Arlen b

"You?" Julius gaped, lost for words as he looked at the man above him."Hold on," Luca did just that. It didn't take a minute for Arlen to crouch beside him and beckon to the person hanging below. "Julius, give me your other hand."Luca had hastily made the move of grabbing the beta in a risky slide. One wrong shift and they could fall over. "My Jules, your left hand... Give it to me!" Arlen stressed, but Julius stared blankly at them in awe. Arlen tried crawling on his belly, but Luca cautioned him. The ground beneath them was crumbling. Arlen’s face was littered with sweat and ugly tears. " It's not your fault, Julius... I forgive you, so please forgive me for doing this to you... I should have never burdened you with my life. I ruined what we had. Please, Julius! Can't you trust me this once?” He poured his heart out the best way he could.A solemn grin cut across Julius’ face. Of course, Arlen still cared about him - why else would he keep trying? He chuckled. "At least I can res

“Hahaha… You’re more destructible than I envisioned.”Julius' voice cracked into a ghoulish tune. The men below shuffled backwards, alert as the man commanded more shadows. When he unleashed them, it was each man for himself. A flick of his hand sent shadows tearing through flesh and armor alike.“Sephire. Eldrosk. Malachi.” He remembered those who taught him well. He spoke their names like a prayer and a curse. “Do you see them? How they tremble when I so much as blink?” He inhaled deeply, drawing in the fear, the despair. It fed him - fattening his spirit.“You must be so proud of your little weakling.” His eyes went pitch-black.Many made attempts at him when he leaped down, but the beta proved to be nothing but brutal and chaotic. Invisible in plain sight. Most of the beastmen and paranormals who dared attack him didn’t last long. Julius’ movements were wild and erratic - feral. He devoured souls to prove a point. Every strike shattered bone, every breath drew blood. Julius pau

Theoden’s confusion cleared after setting eyes on the reason why his first son turned against him. He became baffled that the rest of his family were doing the same.“Arlen, Prince of Ingram. The only descendant of Pandora and the flower of the Braddock clan,” Julius tightened his features as his eyes met Arlen’s.Another round of murmurs captured the moment. Many failed to believe they had been hunting down an omega - a gender that could easily be controlled.Zavian recognized the omega from before. And with Axel’s presence, he began to believe David’s words. But seeing the person that terrorized his people, he refused to put down his arms and demanded that Julius surrender himself.“Do not believe this man, he is in cahoots with that omega, Arlen,” Theoden still wanted his agenda to prevail. Some agreed with him, but others began to question their decisions upon making the comparisons.“You knew we were dealing with an omega all this time?” Rollo was in disbelief. “Why didn’t you sa

Zavian counted the seconds before the circle of flames went out, grunting low in his throat. Heat rippled across his face, the air thick with the smell of burning fur and iron. When the fire finally died, the soldiers burst outward in every direction, hungry for a kill. Steel flashed, teeth bared, each fighter desperate to take their pound of flesh. The battlefield roared to life.Zariah’s warriors swept anticlockwise around the smoldering ground. What looked like chaos was, in truth, a deliberate design - a maze with five layers and a core: Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth. The outer movements were fluid, shifting just enough to bait the enemy into the trap.Fire struck first, meant to rattle their enemies - to scorch their courage before the real assault began. The second ring, Metal, stood as a wall of lightly armored phantom warriors, swift and hard to kill, absorbing the brunt of the beast-men’s charge. Behind them came the Wood contingent: beta archers hardened by years of tr
