Every kid in the kingdom knew the horror stories of the last great war, and even though we were not alive then, we can still see a lot of its effects around. The kingdoms of the west were reduced to the shadows of what they used to be. My grandmother told me of the beauty of the west, but today the place is full of struggling kingdoms. Most of the powerful kingdoms to the west were wiped out of existence as the Darkened one replaced them with his fortresses of terrors. These lands were won back by the union of races but the evils that were let loose in those lands reside there even today.
