Nervous?

In the car, a gloomy silence engulfed and Ava was caught up in thoughts. Did she do the right thing? By quitting her job? How would she be able to support her family? So many things ran through her mind. She was beginning to regret it but she didn't want to embarrass Dean in front of Mrs. Cooper. Now that she had quit the only means of providing for her family, how was she going to pay her bills? A lot of things ran through her mind; the electricity bill, water bill, grandma's meds and the groceries she was supposed to get. Should she go back tomorrow and apologize? It would be stupid of her to do so. Now that her boyfriend was already made known to Mrs. Cooper, all thanks to Dean, the old lady would probably be shocked and suspicious if she comes back to work.
