Elizabeth was soon done administering drugs to the man and left, ignoring his heated gaze on her.

“I hope we meet again in three days. Or less.” She concluded, disposed of the original liquid she would've given him and picked the tray containing the empty syringe and walked out.

She dropped it off and headed straight to her office, where she was informed there was a woman waiting for her.

“You don't just show up in my office without informing me, mother.” She groaned, seeing Ava in her office.

Ava, who was admiring the painting within the office, smiled proudly, seeing her daughter dressed in a white lab coat.

“You said you wanted to see me. I still have the message.” Ava defended, waving her phone for emphasis.

Elizabeth sighed and walked to her chair. “I know I did, but I sent you a follow-up message saying we'll meet in the hospital's parking lot.”

“You did?” Ava mumbled, opening Ava's message. She clicked her tongue when she saw the unread message.

She left the house as so
