Chapter 11

That night, Andrew stood on his balcony, fiddling with an unlit cigarette, when a call came on his phone. He paused and reached into his pocket.

“Speak.”

“The FTC apologized for the sudden search when they found nothing.” Kaleb's voice sounded from the other end, “Do I move back the ledgers and goods?”

Andrew thought for a second before he refuted, “Don't. I have a feeling Daniel won't relent and the next time, we have no idea who they'd send or what time they'd come. So take the goods and leaders to a safer place.”

“Yes, boss.” Kaleb agreed without hesitation.

Andrew ended the call and slipped his phone back into his pocket. His door flew open the next second.

“Shouldn't you be sleeping?” He asked, not turning to see who it was.

Whoever the person was, this person said nothing as he moved within the room in search of something.

“Where is she?” He asked when he didn't see who he was after.
