CHOSEN FOR ADMISSION

Chapter 1

[Chosen For Admission]

Wow, can’t believe it.” Elsa said as she stared at the report that was in her hands. She was excited. She never really expected it. Like she really did it.

“Finally admitted.” Ellie said, not believing it either.

Ellie was busy hawking her goods before Elsa had called a friend of hers to tell her to come over for something very important. And this was a total surprise to them.

They had taken a test for admission in Shining Stars High. They just wrote the test randomly as they thought they would never be picked. They were neither rich nor poor. They struggle each day to get their needs. But fate works in its own way.

They were now on admitted on scholarship in Shining Stars High.

“This calls for a celebration.” Elsa said with a grin.

“Yeah, but first let’s inform grandmother.” Ellie said with a beam on her lips.

Elsa nodded in agreement. She helped Ellie lift up her goods and walked home, chatting about it non-stop.

"Grandma, guess what?" Ellie and Elsa voice boomed as they entered the house.

"Hey, why are your voices so loud? Do you want to break my ear drum?" Their grandma said as she closed her ears.

“And besides why are you back at this time of the day?” she asked them, looking at them.

“ Aren't you supposed to be at work?” She asked, pointing at Elsa.

“ And you hawking?” she asked and looked at Ellie.

"No mama, guess what?" Ellie said.

"You sold all your goods." She said.

"No, mama." They said.

"Elsa received an advance." She said guessing again.

"No, mama." They both chorused.

"Then what?" She said feeling frustrated.

"Well, we got admitted on scholarship into shining stars high." Elsa broke the news.

"Oh my goodness!.” Their grandma exclaimed.

"What a surprise! Are you for real?" She said while they nodded.

"Congratulations, girls, I am so proud of you." She said hugging them each with tears dropping from her eyes.

"Oh, please grandma no tears, please." Ellie said and rolled her eyes.

"I just can't help it, I will miss you so much." She said.

"You are staying at the hostel right?" She asked them.

"Yes, we are." They replied.

"When is the resumption?" She asked them.

"Two weeks from now." Elsa said.

"I still have some time with my girls." She said engulfing them in another hug.

"I will set the table, you guys should go freshen up and come and eat." She said going in to the kitchen.

"Okay, mama." They said simultaneously and keg for their room.

In their room........

"I am so happy, I finally got admitted into high school." Elsa said.

"I can't wait to resume, I can't wait to meet Jayson, that boy is so handsome and intelligent." Ellie said smiling with dreamy eyes.

“see how you look like, daydreaming about a boy that does not even know you.” Elsa hissed out.

“And so?” Ellie scoffed.

"Oh, please this guy does not even know you." Elsa said rolling her eyes.

"At least, I know him." Ellie retorted.

"Let us gather some money to get food stuff and some groceries for grandma." Ellie said after a while.

"Yes." Elsa nodded in agreement.

**Two weeks later**

"You girls should be careful, face your studies, do not move with bad friends, you know the saying "Show me your friend and I will tell you who you are"." Their grandma said for the umpteenth time since they said they got admitted. They nodded.

"You guys are going into a new environment, take good care of each other and know that I love you, okay?" Their grandma said.

Their grandma remembered when her son and his wife were finding it hard to birth kids and then God answered their prayer and they had these twins as a blessing.

Ellie and Elsa hugged their granny for the last time and left for the bus station.

On getting there, they boarded a bus. They soon alighted from the bus some meters away from the school.

As they walked to the school and the sight before them was overwhelming. They have long heard of the school, just the outer sight of it alone makes the school popular.

"Wow, so rich and beautiful." Elsa gasped.

"Yes, it sure is." Ellie added.

Entering in to the school, they were surprised to see how luxurious the school was and wait… The luxurious cars that served as a sight seeing for the school. It is quite obvious that paupers are not allowed in the school. It is clearly not meant for them. Their mouth was left agape.

"I would advise you to close your lips before a fly finds its way into them." They heard a feminine voice say and they turned around to a young petite girl with green emerald eyes.

"Hi." Ellie said awkwardly.

"Hi, I am Julia." The girl said.

"I am Ellie."

"I am Elsa."

The both of them said simultaneously, the girl was shocked then she gave out an hearty laugh.

"You guys are identical and with the way you talk, no one will be able to know who is who." Julia said.

"I am Elsa, and this is my sister Ellie." Elsa said.

"I don't think I would remember you guys, how do you recognize each other?" Julia asked.

"As time goes by you will recognize us." She said.

"Okay, so where are you headed?" Julia asked.

"Actually we got admitted into the school on scholarship, so we were just checking in." They replied.

"Oh, okay, I could help if you don’t mind.” Julia suggested.

“No, thanks.” They said and followed her.

As they were about to go, four flashy cars came into view. Four girls came down from each of the cars.

"So pretty." Ellie said.

"Yeah, they are the top four girls of the class after the J's and their parents are also top sponsors of the school, most of parents are obviously." Julia said.

"Ohh, okay." Elsa said.

"So let's go girls." Julia said and they followed her.

"I would advise you to stay away from those girls." Julia warned them. They just nodded.

"You definitely would not want to be on their blacklist." Julia said.
