Jaxx’s Point Of View

The sun was unforgiving that afternoon, spilling molten gold across the pavement as I stepped out of her company. My lips curved into a smirk I didn’t bother to hide. She still hated me. Every glare, every sharp word… hell, even the way she’d just knelt for me, it screamed hate. But whether she liked it or not, she’d have to get used to my presence again. I wasn’t going anywhere.

I tugged my shirt straight, slipped on my sunglasses, and let the heat settle into my skin as if I owned the whole damn street. The sound of my shoes against the pavement was sharp, deliberate. Each step echoed the certainty thrumming in my chest.

By the time I made it to my suite, the lingering scent of her perfume still clung to me, maddening and distracting. I barely had the chance to sit when my phone buzzed across the glass table.

“Sir,” my man’s voice came through, steady but cautious, “he’s still reaching out. Said he wants to see you.”

My jaw flexed. Irritation surged hot and bitt

  • Tangled With The Other Brother   Chapter 42⁓I'll Make You Beg Without Words

Elena’s Point Of ViewThe sound of my name being called snapped me back into the room. For a moment, I had forgotten where I was, the dazzling chandeliers, the perfectly dressed guests, the gentle clink of glasses. All eyes turned toward me with warm applause. My chest tightened, not from nerves, but because I knew I couldn’t falter. Not now.I stood slowly, smoothing the front of my dress. My hands lifted deliberately to my hair, brushing it into place, tugging just enough so the locks fell across my ear, concealing the discreet airpod no one could suspect. I could practically feel Jaxx smirking through the line, waiting, his heavy breathing already tickling against the silence only I could hear.As I moved toward the podium, the room seemed to shrink and expand at once. Every table, every flash of jewelry, every polite smile, it was all background. But Jaxx’s voice? That was sharp, molten, consuming.“Walk slow for me, Bambina,” he whispered, his voice sin and smoke in my ear. “Let

Elena’s Point Of ViewI bit the inside of my cheek until the taste of blood anchored me. My lips curved again—slow, forced, delicate, as Graham’s gaze flicked up to mine, his attention tightened around me like a noose. Did he see? Could he see through me?“He’ll never know you came just from hearing me breathe.”I nearly choked on the air I swallowed. Around us, glasses clinked, silver cutlery scraped against porcelain, the sound of a toast rippled at the far end of the hall. I sat frozen, hands trembling beneath the tablecloth as across the room Jaxx lifted his glass toward me, his smirk carved deep and wicked.I pressed my thighs together under the table, desperate, trembling, praying no one noticed the way my chest rose and fell too fast.“Don’t you dare break eye contact with me across the room.”My gaze locked on his. My body obeyed before my mind could resist. His stare held me, merciless, consuming. It felt like shackles dragging me closer, and I was drowning in it.The applaus

Elena’s Point Of View“This… can’t be happening.”I swallowed hard, lowering my head slightly so that Graham wouldn’t see my lips move. My hand trembled just enough that I had to steady the glass before it slipped from my fingers. I whispered, low enough that only the man in my ear could hear.“What the heck are you doing here?”Jaxx chuckled, dark and lazy, like he owned the very oxygen I was breathing. His voice slid through the airpod like smoke curling into my chest.“What else? I came to celebrate you, Bambina.”Celebrate me. My stomach knotted. The word tasted like mockery. My hand tightened around the stem of my champagne glass, and I forced myself to pretend to sip, angling my lips to mask the whisper. I could feel the burn of heat rising into my cheeks, but I willed my face into a calm mask.“How did you even get in here?” I hissed, barely audible, forcing my lips to move just enough so no one nearby would notice.Another chuckle, smug and deliberate, curling every syllable.

  • Tangled With The Other Brother   Chapter 39⁓ Good Luck Making Amends

Elena’s Point Of ViewIt had been two weeks since I had seen Jaxx. Two long, blessed weeks. Not after what he had done in my office, in front of my workers, almost humiliating me, cornering me, making me feel things I swore I would never feel around him again. Who does that? Who has the audacity to hide under a table like some wicked predator, wait until the perfect moment, and then… I stopped. Heat flared up my neck.No. I couldn’t allow myself to think about that. The memory alone was enough to make my skin burn. My face flushed so hard I had to lift my champagne flute to my lips just to mask it, letting the cool glass kiss away the heat in my cheeks.“Get a grip on yourself, Elena,” I whispered under my breath.Jaxx was an asshole. A brutal, unrepentant, intoxicating asshole. A sexy asshole, sure, but still, an asshole.Tonight was about celebration, not him. Tonight, my company was celebrating me. We had secured a deal that every competitor had clawed at but failed to touch, a dea

Jaxx’s Point Of View“Oh… I came to check if you’re still breathing, Matilda.”Her lips parted, her breath hitched, shock painted her expression. She hadn’t expected that. She stiffened in her seat, as though the words themselves burned her skin. And that’s when the old man snapped.“Watch your mouth, boy,” his voice thundered across the room, rich with authority, the kind that demanded obedience. His hand gripped the arm of his leather chair, knuckles white. “You don’t speak to my wife in that manner.”I didn’t flinch. Didn’t even look at him. Just dragged on my cigarette again, letting the smoke curl lazily from my lips like I had all the time in the world. Silence became my rebellion.Matilda’s eyes flickered between us, confusion and tension swirling in her gaze, but she said nothing. She knew better than to interrupt when storms were about to collide. When boredom finally clawed at me, I leaned forward and stubbed the cigarette against his polished mahogany table. A fresh burn ma
