Gwen's POV

Ricky and I stood at the entrance of Emory's Mansion.

I didn't know if it was a good idea to bring him along but Granny insisted I needed all the support I could get because I was not in the right state of mind.

She assured me that Sharon and her would be with the boys at the hospital till I returned with the money for the surgery.

As much as I hated to be there, it was something I needed to do for the recovery of my child.

My eyes were bulging due to the amount of tears I had shed over the last few days. I looked pale and had lost weight.

I firmly gripped my bag and reminded myself of why I was there and what I needed to do.

“Are you good Gwen?” Ricky asked.

I nodded. “Let's go”

It took a few seconds for a maid to answer the door after I knocked. I did not recognize her because when Mom was still alive, we had no maid.

“Can I help you, miss?” She asked.
