Fuck, fuck, fuck!! What have I done? How could I have been so stupid? I ran outside shortly after Alex had stormed out. The cold air outside the restaurant hit me like a slap. A well deserved one at that.

One minute, I was on a date with my boyfriend and now I was standing on the pavement looking from side to side to see if I could catch a glimpse of him. The anger that I had been trying so hard to subdue had now been replaced by a chilling dread.

I tried dialing his number but I was sent straight to voice mail. Shit, he was really mad and rightfully so. What I had done was dumb and so insensitive and for what?

What was really the whole point?

Alex was gone. Alex was gone. The words echoed in my head, each one a fresh stab of panic. This wasn't just a disagreement; this was a walk-out. The look on his face before his exit wouldn't leave me be.

This was... this was our first real fight, the kind that I feared would rip a hole in the fabric of a relationship. And it was all my fault. I

  • Teach me to sin   Fifty Five: Alex's POV [Not again]

    The air was aglow with a different kind of energy than any other party that I had been to. A mix of booming music, chlorine, and barbecue filled my nostrils as we pulled up to Collin’s place.Nico had driven me, Hayley and Rita to the place and it was, to my pleasant surprise, not an awkaward ride at all. If anything, Rita seemed like she was actively trying her best to be nice and welcoming. The house wasn't a sprawling mansion like some of the ones I’d seen in movies or like the one that Collins' family lived in but it was definitely upscale— it was a modern, sleek house with a shimmering pool in the backyard. The sounds of laughter, screams that were fun filled and splashing drifted over the manicured hedges. Everybody sounded like they were having the time of their lives."Alright, party people!" Nico exclaimed, practically bouncing out of the car as soon as we arrived, "Let's get going!"He brought the car to a stop and helped Hayley out of the car like the gentleman that he wa

  • Teach me to sin   Fifty Four: Hayley's POV {It's a date}

    ''Let's go out on a date, just you and me this weekend. What do you think?" Nico had asked me earlier this week when we were having ice cream in his dorm.Alex had been out working on his paper with one of his professors and Nico and I had the whole place to ourselves. The dorms of Heldon were designed like every typical two bedroom house.No wonder it was a school for the rich. Nico however acted regular and down to earth that I tend to forget that he was wealthy and that was one of the reasons that I liked him so much."A date?" I asked and he nodded."You pick a place and we'll go"I playfully leaned forward and wiggled my eyebrows at him."Ooouuu, look who's falling for me. I can't say that I blame you though. It is my burden to bear"He slapped my arm and laughed."Girl, hush""You can't even deny it""Yeah, yeah, whatever," He chuckled and rubbed the back of his head, "I like hanging out with you, Hayley and I want to keep hanging out with you""You mean that?"He nodded. ''Yea

    A romantic getaway for two days was what Toby had proposed to help me ease then stress of the month as well as the stress of losing a friend. But if I was being honest, he seemed like he was a bit glad that Nico and I were no longer on speaking terms. At least, that was what my gut was telling me.He had never openly voiced any dislike for any of my people.He had gotten us a diamond suite at the Tom Howard hotel which was one of the best in the country and the only one close enough to Heldon if I had any reason to be back there quickly.I really did love the place. The interior and exterior design, the perfect attention to detail, the impeccable customer service and not to mention this oh so heavenly bed that seemed to pull me in.Toby was on his laptop going through some work files while I lay on the bed staring at the ceiling. The only thought that dominated my mind was Nico and as much as I hated it, Hayley.I thought that I could toss away the way that I felt, especially for Nico

    The gentle hum of conversation in the upscale restaurant would have been enough to calm the raging storm in my head but it didn't. What would have been a soothing balm had now become nothing but a dull throb against the ringing in my ears. Alex was seated across from me, a bright, engaging smile on his face.He looked so handsome under the lights of this place, his eyes wide with excitement as he spoke to me about the things that had been happening lately in his life."And then, Hayley showed up to the movie night with the same dress as Rita. Obviously it wasn't planned but then again it was hilarious and Rita was not happy about it""Is that right?" I managed to say as I forced myself to sound interested.He nodded."And then, Rita and I didn't see Nico and Hayley. It was pretty obvious that they had snuck out and Nico told me when he got back that they had kissed under the moon light and everything," He took a sip of his wine, "Talk about cute and romantic. I'm just glad that every

  • Teach me to sin    FIFTY: ALEX'S POV [What he said]

    "That will be all for today. Class dismissed"I got off my seat and half jogged to the exit of history class and brought out my phone. Nico didn't offer history and that meant that he was not with me but I had to see him and Rita immediatly.I was still confused and shocked at Julius approaching me and the fact that I had hit him. I had never hit anyone before and I did not usually condone violence but I was so fucking angry and disgusted.After everything that he put me through, what he had said to me, to others about me. He had the nerve to corner me in a dark street to say sorry?He could burn in fucking hell for all I care. I had half the mind to go tell Sophia to keep her man in check but then again, I had too much on my plate to make room for any drama."We need to see ASAP"I sent the text to the groupchat that I had made with Nico and Alex. I was thankful that Nico had not left the group so I wouldn't have to text him seperately."What's up?" Nico replied."Everything okay, Al
