Dorian POV

“I will be your mistress.”

It took longer than I calculated, but time was on my side. I had patience. I had other women.

So when the guards informed me she was waiting outside my chambers, I knew instantly — the moment had come.

“Please…” she choked, her whole body trembling on the floor before me. “Please… help me save my mother. Please…”

Pathetic. Desperate. And yet… captivating.

I crouched down, brushing my thumb across the wet trails on her cheeks. I will admit, with the heavy tears streaming down her face, she looked even more beautiful.

And her scent. Goddess, her scent.

I inhaled deeply, letting it coat my lungs, richer now with her despair. It wasn’t just sweet anymore. It was… intoxicating.

My grip tightened on the steering wheel, knuckles screaming white, and I didn’t care how reckless my driving got until I tore through the gates of the pack estate. I ignored every greeting from the guards and the maids, pushing past them without stopping to breathe. I stormed straight into Vivienne’s chambers, shoving the door hard enough that the maids inside flinched. When they saw it was me, they bowed so low their hair almost touched the floor.
