Dorian POV

“You’ve been quiet for almost an hour now,” Damian said, snapping me out of my train of thought. We were both seated in my office—I had called him to discuss a pack matter, but I guess I got distracted.

I shook my head and sat upright. “I’m horny,” I replied flatly, causing his lip to curl.

“You bastard,” he muttered. He was one of the very few who could get away with speaking to me like that without losing his tongue. We weren’t close at the beginning, but we’d both been sent to war. Trauma had a way of binding men together. Though he joined later and returned earlier, he was still three years younger than me; he had fought during the worst moments and carried his own scars.

“What?” he added with a chuckle. “Don’t tell me you didn’t get laid last night. Knowing you, you don’t go a day without it.”

I shook my head again, slower this time. “I wouldn’t consider what I had last night sex.”

Damian’s brow arched. “What do you mean?”
