Places only in a dream

I watched as the soft pelt of rain drops splattered against my bedroom window. Leaving behind little squiggles of water, as they slid down the glass. I wasn't aloud to go any furthter then my desk, given what I had been through. I was still having a hardtime staying focus on even the smallest things. My brain felt heavy, like there was a neverending fog floating around inside my skull, leaving me with the feeling like I was never truly awake.

The clock on my desk chimed and spun as the ballerina danced, letting me know my brothers would soon be home. I should feel happy that they were finally coming back. But, I couldn't shake this feeling that sat in the pit of my stomach, churning as time grew near.
