Chapter 16

My brows crossed as I sat properly though I leaned my body more on the shotgun door while my mind was gathering the defences I learned from our trainings.

"You're joking, right?" I asked when he turned his gaze back at the road with his blue eyes turned back into golden brown.

"You'll find out." He smirked.

I punched his shoulder. "You're tripping!"

"You're not sure about that." He chuckled more.

I laughed as I shook my head, just feeling happy to see him smile and laugh more often than usual.

"You're a good werewolf. You're not gonna eat me alive."

"You believe that?"

I nodded before relaxing my head back to the window. "I just hope you're gonna allow me to sleep. You woke me up so early." I frowned while my eyes were closed.

"Fine," he uttered, making me smile before I fell asleep.
