تسجيل الدخولFLORIAN'S POV…I stared at the shadow in the dark as he walked away.I don't know who he was or why he did what he did, but I felt grateful to him, whoever he was. He literally saved our lives.I didn't waste any more time standing there. I quickly took Roseline's hand and led her out of the warehouse, my mind still racing from everything that had just happened. My hands were shaking as I unlocked the car, and I kept glancing over my shoulder the entire time, half expecting someone else to jump out of the darkness. We got inside, and I drove straight home, my grip tight on the steering wheel the whole way, my eyes constantly checking the rearview mirror just in case someone was following us.Neither of us spoke much during the drive. Roseline sat quietly beside me, her arms wrapped around herself, staring out the window at the passing streets. Every so often, I'd glance over at her, making sure she was still there, still safe, still breathing.Once we got home, I called the police ri
Roseline's POV…I moved through the quiet streets, there was nothing but the sound of the cold wind and the hum of an old generator in the distance. The shops on the streets were locked, the few that were open were a mile away from where I was.I kept following Florian's black leather jacket as he walked completely unaware of the fact that I was walking behind him.I tried my best to stay still and not make a single sound so he wouldn't notice I was there. His dark hair caught in the moonlight. What could he possibly be looking for at a place like this? Was he meeting up with someone? And who could that be?Did it have something to do with his strange mood all day? Those questions kept turning restlessly in my head.He stopped in front of a big warehouse, the windows broken and hanging on to its last strength. The place smelt of smoke and something really disgusting. You could tell no one had stepped foot into the room building in a while.Florian moved forward to the front entrance.I
FLORIAN'S POV..I drove down to the address the unknown number dropped for me a few minutes ago.The address led me to the outskirts of town, an old, abandoned industrial area I hadn't visited in years. My car's headlights cut through the darkness as I pulled up outside a large, decaying warehouse, its exterior rusted and worn, the surrounding lot overgrown with weeds pushing up through cracked concrete. The place was a total waste land. I heard it was abandoned because the owner died and everyone refused to take over the business because they believed the owner was a wizard and used magical powers.I parked and stepped out slowly, my hand instinctively brushing against the small handgun tucked into my jacket pocket, something I'd taken from the safe at home before leaving, just in case whatever waited here turned out to be more dangerous. The warehouse sat silently in front of me, no lights visible, no signs of movement anywhere. I approached cautiously, my footsteps echoing softly a
Roseline's POV…“So what are your plans for tomorrow?”Nina asked as she held the box of drinks in her arms. The birthday party was over and Nina offered to help me take the things to the back storage room.“I have work tomorrow as usual,”I said.“Can't you skip a day, you know, like a day off,”she said.“No I can't,”I said.“Just tell Florian you have something to attend to, then we have our girl out”she said.“Let's just have a girl night out tomorrow”I said. She squealed, bouncing around the room. I rolled my eyes and set down the box in my hands."Yes! Girls' night, finally!" Nina exclaimed, clapping her hands together excitedly. "I've been dying for us to hang out properly, just the two of us, no Florian, no work stress.""It's just one night, Nina, calm down," I said, laughing as I picked up another box to carry to the storage room."One night is all I need," she said, following behind me with her own box. "We can go to that new lounge downtown, the one with the rooftop bar. I he
FLORIAN'S POV The doctor rushed back into the room immediately, along with a nurse who quickly moved to check his vitals."What happened?" the doctor asked, his eyes scanning the monitors carefully."He woke up," I said, my voice unsteady, my mind still moving around what he'd said. "He was talking, saying something about people coming after us, after me. Then he just passed out again."The doctor frowned slightly, checking his chart once again. "His vitals are stable, thankfully. This could just be trauma-induced confusion, especially given his mental health history. Maybe it was just a mental episode caused by trauma.""He seemed so certain," I said quietly, staring down at my uncle's pale, still face. "Like he genuinely believed someone was after us.""We'll continue monitoring him closely," the doctor assured me. "Once he's more stable, we can look into arranging a psychiatric evaluation to better understand what he's experiencing."I nodded slowly, though the unease coiling tigh
FLORIAN'S POV…I stared at the lifeless body laying around on the floor, blood dripping from it.I moved closer and the air left my lungs. The person lying lifeless on the ground was my uncle Marcus. It looked like he was stabbed several times on the chest, and a bloody knife lay beside him. Could it be he inflicted such pain on himself or he was attacked?I didn't have time to go over the possibilities, I called for an ambulance. Then I called Gabriel, he arrived few minutes later with a man called Detective Shawn from the investigation unit.He examined the floor when he got there, Uncle Mack's body had already been taken to the hospital. The detective looked at the scene of the crime for a while then snooped around the house looking for evidence. He didn't find much, the knife was the only evidence he had so he took it with him for more investigation.“So do you think this was an attempted suicide?”I asked Detective Shawn.“Your uncle has some mental problems so there's every poss
