POV: Alpha Dorian Graves

The arrow whizzed past my ear as I ducked behind a tree. Too close. Artemis land was proving as welcoming as I'd expected.

"Hold your fire!" I shouted. "I come to issue a formal challenge!"

The trees went quiet. I stepped into the open with my hands raised, showing I was alone. Five wolf guards surrounded me, arrows pointed at my heart.

"Alpha Dorian Graves," said the lead guard, not lowering his bow. "You're trespassing."

I flashed my red Alpha eyes. "I'm here to see Elias. Now."

"Turn around and leave before—"

I moved faster than they could track, grabbing the lead guard's bow and snapping it in half. The others tensed, but I stayed calm.

"Tell Elias that I'm waiting. Unless he's afraid to face me."

The guard spat at my feet but indicated to another to run ahead. "This way," he growled.

I followed, letting my mind race with the plan. Amara was somewhere in these woods, hiding from The Mother. I could smell her s

  • The Accused Mate   The Raven Watches

POV: The Raven (The Mother's Spy)I dodged the arrow that whistled past my wing feathers. Too close! The dog guard below had good aim, but not good enough. I circled higher, my black wings catching the afternoon sunshine.Being a raven had its perks. No one ever accuses a bird of spying. I've watched these wolves for months now, sitting on windowsills, perching on tree branches, listening to every secret, every plan. And my true boss, The Mother, was pleased with what I'd learned.Today was important. I needed to see the girl with my own eyes. The one they called Amara.I swooped down to land on the roof of the small cabin where they were hidden. Tiny holes in the wooden planks let me peek inside and hear everything. Perfect. The girl stood in the middle of the room, her hands sparkling with golden light. Even from here, I could feel her power. It made my feathers stand on end."She's stronger than we thought," I mumbled to myself, memorizing every detai

  • The Accused Mate   Testing Bonds

Chapter 89: Testing BondsPOV: Amara Kings"Stop!" I shouted, throwing myself between the fighting wolves. My hands shot out, one touching each of their chests. The moment my skin made touch, a strange tingling rushed up my arms. The two wolves—Max and Lena—froze in place. Their eyes widened as they stared at me, then at each other. The anger that had made them attack each other seconds ago seemed to melt away."What did you just do?" Max whispered, looking down at my hand still pressed against his chest.I wasn't sure myself. Ever since fleeing Dorian's compound with Trick, strange things had been happening. Like how I could feel the invisible threads joining mated pairs. Or how, just now, I'd somehow fixed whatever was broken between these two."Your bond was damaged," I said, surprised at how certain I was. "I... fixed it."Lena's eyes filled with tears. "I can feel him again. In my heart." She reached for Max's hand. "It's been dark for weeks, ever si

  • The Accused Mate   A Mother's Legacy

POV: Ingrid DevereauxThe witch's blood spilled over my hands as I pressed harder on her wound. Her eyes - once filled with hate - now showed only fear."Stay with me, Celeste," I ordered. "You don't get to die yet."When my son had brought this half-dead witch into our pack house, I wanted to finish the job myself. After all, she had helped trick Elias with that fake mate bond. But now she was our only chance to save Amara."Mother, let me—" Elias started.I cut him off with a look. "Get the healing flowers from my cabinet. The red box."As he rushed away, I turned back to Celeste. Her skin was getting paler by the second."Why did you help Kamla deceive my son?" I ordered, pressing harder on her wound. She coughed, blood coloring her lips. "I had no choice. The Mother... she has my family.""The Mother?" The name sent ice through my blood. I hadn't heard it spoken in twenty years.Celeste's eyes widened. "You know of her?"Before I

  • The Accused Mate   Witch Hunt

POV: Celeste MoreauThe iron lock snapped open with a soft click. I nearly cried from relief as magic flooded back into my blood like warm honey. Three weeks in Dorian's silver-lined cell had left me weaker than a newborn kitten, but freedom tasted sweeter than any spell."Guard coming," whispered the small fox sitting by the cell door. My familiar, Trick, had been my eyes and ears while I was stuck.I pressed myself against the wall as heavy footsteps neared. The guard—a big wolf shifter with a nasty scar across his face—peered through the bars. I held my breath."Sleeping beauty's still out cold," he muttered, going on.Little did he know the "sleeping beauty" was just a pillow and some makeup magic. Not my best work, but enough to fool a werewolf's eyes in the dim light.Once his footsteps faded, I slipped out of the cell, Trick darting between my feet."The exit's that way," he said, flicking his bushy tail toward a small hallway."Not yet,"

  • The Accused Mate    Memories Resurfaced

POV: Alpha Charles Winters (in flashback)The witch's neck snapped under my hands. Her body crumpled to the forest floor, eyes still wide with fear. I looked at what I'd done, my heart racing. This wasn't meant to happen. I just wanted information about my unborn children, not blood on my hands. But she'd said those words—those terrible words about my babies—and something in me broke."What have you done, Charles?"I spun around. My Beta, Luther Cain, stood at the edge of the clearing, fear on his face."She knew something about my children," I said, my voice shaking. "About Seraphina's baby. She said they would bring destruction."Luther neared slowly, as if I were a wild animal. "What exactly did she say?"I closed my eyes, the witch's words burning in my mind. "Twins born under the blood moon. One blessed with power beyond measure, one cursed to betray. Together they will end the old order.""Twins?" Luther's eyes widened. "Seraphina is carryi
