There was a soft humming, calling out for me to open my eyes. Despite its gentleness, it was impossible to ignore. The melody stimulated my senses, sparking me to life. I felt it, like a curfew flowing through me.
The light was blinding, and I had to raise my hand to shield my eyes. It was an unnaturally bright light before me, but it also had a calming tranquillity. You wanted to follow further into its brilliance.

The attendance of the Councilman and at least one Elder was necessary as an official witness to the pack challenge, should it be disputed once the Council arrives with the warrior army reinforcements later.
