The Failed Seduction

Maxmillian and Amelia decided to spend the rest of the day hidden in the room. They stay behind closed doors for hours, gossiping and having a good time. Amelia had her head on Maxmillian's chest, while they both lay on the bed. She told Maxmillian everything she discussed with Grace Monroe, including her response to her.

"I'm proud of you. I'm proud you stood up to her. She would have taken advantage of your calmness." Maxmillian complimented "I didn't think you could pull it off, for some moments I was scared she would hurt you". He added

"Hmm, although she sounded confident. Maybe it was because she has a child for you...."

"I don't consider him my child. He's a grown man, old enough to cater for himself and start his own family. I have no idea why he's back anyway," Maxmillian interrupted.
