Chapter 03

Alicia POV

“Who are you?” someone asked.

I looked at them in confusion, irritation already bubbling inside me.

“It does not matter who I am,” I snapped. “Can all of you move your fucking asses out of this road? You are blocking my way.”

They stared at me seriously, their expressions hardening as they exchanged warning looks.

“Miss, you should not go here,” one of them said firmly.

“I am just passing by,” I replied coldly. “Unfortunately, that person is blocking my way.” I pointed directly at the man standing in front of my car.

“No one passes through here alive.”

I looked at him and gave him a sarcastic smile.

“Oh really?” I replied mockingly.

“If you want to stay alive, come with us,” a brown eyed man said calmly.

I raised an eyebrow.

Tsk. Why would I go with them? I am not stupid enough to blindly follow strangers into the forest.

Still, I had to admit that this situation was starting to creep me out. Of course, I did not show it. I simply turned my back on them and started walking toward my car.

“Stop walking, woman!” someone shouted.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, was the moment I completely lost my patience.

I despise being shouted at.

I turned around and gave them a deadly glare.

“If all of you have nothing better to do with your lives, then do not bother me,” I said firmly before turning away again.

Suddenly, someone grabbed my elbow, stopping me from moving forward.

I immediately jerked away and cursed under my breath. I do not allow anyone to touch me unless I give them permission.

“Shit. Do not touch me!” I snapped.

He released my arm but continued glaring at me.

“What are you doing here?” he asked.

I looked directly into his eyes.

Huh?

Did I see that right?

His brown eyes flickered, briefly changing into a light green color. I shook my head and forced myself to forget it.

That is impossible.

“I already told all of you,” I said coldly. “I am just passing by.”

“Then come with us and seek permission from our leader so you can pass through,” he said calmly.

Again with that.

Why are they so obsessed with dragging me along?

“Why do I need to do that?” I asked. “Why can I not just leave right now?”

They fell silent.

Damn it. This is really getting on my nerves.

If this is some kind of prank, then it is not funny at all.

“No. You cannot leave,” he finally said. “Not until our leader allows you to go, alive.”

I do not understand a single thing they are saying. Are they filming some kind of action movie? Why do I need permission from their so called leader just to pass by?

“Tsk. I am leaving now. No one can stop me.”

“You are a trespasser. Come with us now,” one of them said harshly. “We do not have time to argue with you.”

I stopped and turned to face them again.

I was beyond pissed.

“Then stop being hard headed and just let me go!” I shouted in frustration.

“We cannot let you leave. That is an order,” one of them replied.

I narrowed my eyes.

“Are you all fucking kidding me?” I asked angrily.

This is absurd.

Who are these people anyway? They are so weird that I cannot understand them at all.

“You are a trespasser. Come with us, or we will kill you,” one of them warned.

I shot him a death glare.

“Oh, I did not know someone owns this place and that it is prohibited to pass through here,” I replied sarcastically.

“Rogue! Stop arguing with us and just come!” one of them yelled.

What the hell?

“Do not shout at me, you jerk!” I yelled back.

Wait.

Did he just call me a rogue?

What the hell is that?

“And wait, I am not a rogue,” I shouted. “What are you talking about?”

Rogue?

I watched them look at each other again.

They are so weird. Extremely weird.

Suddenly, one of them grabbed my elbow again.

“What the fuck? Let me go!” I hissed as I tried to pull away, but he would not release me.

Without hesitation, I kicked him where the sun does not shine.

He cursed loudly while groaning in pain.

“You fucking lady!” he shouted.

“You deserve it, jerk!” I shouted back.

“Just come with us, Miss,” someone said calmly.

I glanced at him.

“Why would I?” I asked.

“Because if our alpha comes here himself, I am sure he will kill you,” he replied calmly, though the seriousness in his voice was undeniable.

Oh, how scary, I thought sarcastically.

“And what the hell is an alpha?” I demanded. “A murderer? A notorious criminal? Your leader? A mafia boss?”

They all answered no.

“Then what?” I snapped.

What is this place?

Oh my God. This place is full of insane people.

I need to get out of here as soon as possible.

I noticed that none of them spoke anymore.

What now?

“Hey, can I go already?” I asked impatiently. “You are all wasting my precious time.”

Still no response.

Great. What a waste of time.

I turned my back on them and started walking, but suddenly, I bumped into something solid.

“Alpha!” they all said at once.

Alpha?

What a ridiculous name.

“Sorry. I really have to go,” I said hurriedly to the man in front of me as I attempted to move past him.

Suddenly, he grabbed my elbow.

“No,” he said coldly. “You cannot leave. Not now. Never.”

His voice was possessive, dangerously so.

What?

“My mate.”

Double what the hell.

Oh God. This man too.

Why is everyone here so damn irritating?

I glared at him.

“What the hell is this mate you are talking about?” I demanded. “Are you insane?”

His face darkened instantly.

Oh God. I did not expect that reaction.

His grip tightened, and it hurt like hell.

“Let me go, you dumbass!” I yelled.

His expression screamed danger, but I refused to be intimidated.

I struggled, feeling pain shoot through my arm.

“Let me go, and I will leave immediately!” I shouted.

Finally, he released me.

But before I could move, he did something that completely shocked me.

“Put me down!” I yelled.

Shit.

He lifted me effortlessly and threw me over his shoulder as if I weighed nothing.

“Go back to the camp now, Leo,” he ordered seriously.

The brown eyed man nodded, and the others disappeared into the forest.

“Put me down! Let me go!” I screamed, punching his back.

He ignored me until he placed me inside my car.

Then he climbed into the driver’s seat.

What the hell is he doing?

“Get out!” I ordered.

He glared at me.

“Oh, shut up,” he said coldly.

I gave him a death glare.

“Get out,” I repeated.

He did not listen.

Instead, he started my car.

No.

What the hell?

“I said get out of my fucking ca—”

I froze.

My eyes widened as he suddenly leaned toward me.

He shut me up with his lips.

He kissed me.

Hard.

His hand cradled the back of my head, pulling me closer as his lips crushed against mine without warning.

The kiss was rough, possessive, and overwhelming.

And yet…

There was something else.

Longing.

I could not believe what was happening.

Then I felt him smile slightly against my lips, snapping me back to reality.

I leaned back and tried to slap him, but he quickly caught my hand and stared straight into my eyes.

“Slap me,” he warned calmly, “and I will kiss you again.”

I glared at him, my heart pounding.

Damn it.

The way he said that made heat rush through me, and I hated it.

This is bad.

He slowly released my hand and began driving.

Shit.

Damn it.

He kissed me.

Someone kissed me.

On the lips.

And worse…

It was a complete stranger.
