《 Aurora's pov 》

I closed my eyes under the sprinkle of the shower. The water was freezing since everyone had already used up all the hot water. But I didn't care, at least I could shower now finally.

It was late, probably about midnight or perhaps later. I hadn't cared to check the time.

I sighed, running my fingers through my pale pink hair. I wished it was a different color, one more common and not so rare. I blinked. I wished my eyes were common too and not so 'freaky'. I let out a breath and run my hand down my body.

I was small and barely had any hips. My breasts were small compared to that of a she wolf. My stomach was very flat but that probably had to do with the lack of food inside it. Whilst she wolves were blessed with luscious curves and bountiful breasts, I, whatever I was, was cursed with nothing but tiny breasts, a flat bum, and no hips. I might as well be mistaken as a stick.

I lathered my body with soap and stared out the window. The moon taunted me and the sound of the patroling wolves howling warned that if I were to ever try to escape this place, I'd die. I tear my eyes away from the moon and fix them on the wall that was illuminated by the glow of the moon.

I didn't put the light on. I enjoyed showering when it was dark and the only source of light was the glow of the white circle satellite that wolves howl to when it reaches its peak. Even though I was not one of those beasts, I still had a fascination with the moon. It always seemed so peaceful and out of reach.

I washed off the lather of soap and closed the faucet. One of the reasons why I liked showering in the night was the absence of the she wolves. They always taunted my body and my non-existent curves. Knowing I could never be accepted by them was painful.

I reach out for my old towel that had seen better days. The shower was communal which meant that we were forced to shower in the presence of another. I hated it and would always wait it out until it was too late into the night and the she wolves would be asleep or with their mates.

____________

After getting dressed in my ragged clothes I headed downstairs as quietly as I can. I knew some wolves would probably be up and could sense my scent but I prayed they'd not come out of their rooms and report me to Alpha Raphael for not being in my small chamber at this time.

I wouldn't be able to sleep if I did not eat anything, not that I could ever sleep anyway. But at least I wouldn't hear the unpleasant sound of my belly growling. I tried to ease my heartbeats as best as I could as I entered the empty kitchen.

The sigh of the dirty plates overflowing in the sink made my stomach tense. I knew I was the one who would get that task to wash them before the next lunch and dinner. The bones in my fingers were already protesting at being used. I pad against the cold tiles wishing I had a pair of socks to warm my feet.

The huge shirt I had on wasn't helping my cold bones. It had many holes in it and I couldn't remember which male Lycan had tossed it away. Or in what year I took it out of the dumpster.

I rummage through the fridge in search of the plate Cas usually leaves for me. She always hides it right at the back and places huge cartons of milk to block its sight from others. Cassandra would always leave half of her food for me knowing Gomery and the Alpha never allow me to eat at dinner.

Being part of the pack even though in the lowest ranking, she was still allowed to eat with the pack, only at the last table and right at the very end.  A relieved smile crafted on my face when my eyes fell on the small plate with many slices of the meatloaf I cooked earlier.

I wasn't disappointed that she didn't leave some soup for me because I knew that she didn't have the privilege to get it. The warmer and healthier meals were only for the higher rankings.

Taking it out of the fridge I dug in, not caring that I was dirtying my fingers. I moaned when the juices of the meat reaches my tastebuds. My stomach cramps as I quickly filled it.

As I continued to dig into the meatloaf my eyes snap to the window overlooking the back woods. The wolves never cared to tread there. I had an inkling it was because it was rumored that Alpha Xavier territory was that way. They said if you're not too careful you could stumble upon his territory by accident and have your head flown off in seconds.

I lift my clean fingers to my neck and winced. I love having my neck on my shoulders so I wouldn't dare try to escape that way.

I heard the howl of wolves and tear my eyes away from the window. They always sounded superior and were considered beasts for a reason. I set the dirty plate in the sink, careful to not disturb the other plates and have them topple to the ground and shatter.

But in doing so something sharp touches my finger and pierces it. My heart pounds as I wrench my finger back and looked at the cut. Blood had already emerged and threatened to spill on the floor.

I pushed it under the sink and opened the faucet quickly. As Gomery mentioned before, Alpha Raphael wasn't fond of having blood on his floors. He would rather you bleed to death outside out in the yard. Something I couldn't afford.

I made sure to let the water wash any sight of my blood and prayed the smell of the copper wasn't noticeable. Closing the faucet I looked out the window one last time before holding my finger to my chest and headed for my tiny room. My body shivered already knowing it would be too cold in there to find proper sleep.

  • The Alpha Claimed Me Deeply   Epilogue

《Aurora's pov》 "Push Luna." The female doctor encouraged. "Ahh!" I screamed loudly that it bounced off the walls in the room and danced outside. I held onto my knees, lifting myself up a little and pushed. My chest rose and fell, my heart beating incredibly fast. My hair stuck to my sweaty face and the gown I wore was plastered to my sweaty body. Xavier had one knee on the bed the other on the floor, and one of his arms holding my back while the other removed the tresses off my face. "You got this my love. If anyone can do it, it will be you." He whispered in my ear, kissing my cheek despite me being so sweaty. "Come on Luna. Push!" The female doctor encouraged louder while the other nurses around her made a shout of encouragement. "One." I breathed put through my lips as Xavier rubbed my back. "Two." "Three." I pushed harder, silently begging our baby to hurry up and come out. The pain was unbearable and the doctor informed me that as soon as the child is out, it was common

《Aurora's pov 》"Let's get out of here now." I urged when I reach beside Cass and Serena.Cass nods in agreement and so does Serena.I had just made the entire Crystal River pack rogues. They had no Alpha, no leader and Raphael had no heir.I was sure Raphael wanted the alpha title to be in his bloodline, which is why he would've forced me to carry his seed. So there's no way he would've passed it down to his Beta and Gamma. Now their ranks would no longer matter since they are now also rogues."I can shift," Cassandra suggested, looking at Serena.I looked at Cass worriedly. "Are you sure you can handle it?" I asked in concern while I shift my gaze to the wolves who were still there. They looked lost, not knowing what to do or where to go from here.I also had them still trapped, not wanting them to attack when we least expected it.Because even though they weren't trying to escape the captivity of the roots and branches, I still did not trust them. They were, after all, the same wol

《Aurora's pov》"Come on we don't have much time!" I rushed out as I hear the snarls of the wolves. They were fighting back.I looked around frantically, unsure of which route to take. I can't go back upstairs and I wasn't sure there weren't others waiting for us the other way out of this nasty place. Cass stepped over the little protruding of the steel left and runs over to me, she pulls me in a hug. " I'm so glad he hadn't done anything to you Rora." I bit my tongue, not wanting to tell her that he did actually break my wrist, and prayed that she wouldn't notice the ugly discoloring that was slowly starting to paint the skin of my wrist. She pulls away and stares at my face, her eyes roaming everywhere in worry. "That's not your blood is it?" Her tone was filled with concern, something that did not surprise me one bit.I shook my head no. "It's not," I whispered shakily knowing the woman's eyes would haunt me for the rest of my life. I had taken her life and had not cared in the m

: Xavier's pov :I stormed out of the pack house, my body trembling with unleashed anger. Reckon was furious, livid in fact. He wanted his mate back in our arms. We were ready for war. But as I scan my eyes over the fighters of my pack, I am aware that some did not seem to want to fight at all. Which was worrisome. For them, not me. "Why is no one in their positions and ready to take off!?" I snarled through the air. "Have the Crimson Moon warriors gone weak?" I sneered when no one answered just looked away. A boy, not older than twenty looked at me and thought it was a good idea to speak. "We think it's a stupid idea to go against Raphael right now, especially when he has the wolfsbane. And now that he has the Luna. He can make more- "Are you saying you'd much rather leave your Luna to die!?" I snarled taking a menacing step forward. He needs to choose his words carefully. I may not be as patient as I portray. The boy squirms and bends his head. "No, of course not." It's quiet

《 Aurora's pov》I kept my gaze plastered to the floor as the male wolf led me through the packhouse. I can hear snickers and my gut wrenches as I remember what I had endured by these wolves hands. They were cruel and I should not expect anything less."Such an imbecile for thinking she can escape alpha Raphael. Dumb bitch."The voice belonged to Alice, after years of tormenting, and my brain now can detect her voice instantly.I can hear the others laugh at my expense but I still kept my gaze down. It would be best to ignore them and not waste my time by staring at their faces."What is that stench?" Alice asked with disgust in her voice. The male wolf's hand around my arm is brutal and I was sure if he added the slightest of pressure he'll manage to break my arm.He leads me up the staircase just behind the struggling vampire who was also held by a buff cruel looking male wolf. His face was familiar but I couldn't put a name to the face."Let go of me you nasty leech!" The vampire wo

《Aurora's pov》I pulled away from Cass completely to stare at the female vampire. I looked at her confused. The way she spat out my name was as though we were well acquainted and that I had done her something extremely terrible.I did not know the woman. And have never seen her before. She was not at all familiar but she seem to give away that she knew my mother. And by the nasty glare coming from her eyes to burn through me, I knew that she hadn't quite liked my mother as well."How do you know my mother?" I whispered in intrigue. This was the first time someone have ever mentioned my mother. Because no one knew her. No one knew what she was.But this woman, I can tell by the gleam in her eyes, she knew her. She knew me. And she knew what we were. Perhaps what we can do as well.A smirk so cruel and disdainful appears on her lips. "You're a curious little thing aren't you? ""But to answer your question, I was a dear friend of your mother's. We were practically besties as they call i
