CHAPTER TWO- THE PRICE OF PAIN

TORIS’S POV

It felt as if my whole world was spinning and my life was a literal movie because how is there so much chaos within a few days. I clutched my tight chest as I felt my mate bond break. My wolf was howling inside of me, but I managed to keep her under control.

“Wait..wait. I don’t understand,” I gave a sarcastic laugh, refusing to believe all of this is true.

“I know Riley will give me a son, an heir to my pack. You’re useless to me now, so get out! My lawyer will send the divorce paperwork to you,”

“Are you kidding me? Riley is literally married to my father? Does he even know about this? You impregnated a married woman! My freaking stepmom? How could you?” I asked, my anger rising as my face reddened like a tomato. 

I struggled to control my raging breath as I clutched the hem of my dress.

“I’m divorcing your stupid father, okay? Alpha Victor and I are a better match,” she smiled and gave him a kiss on his cheek as she giggled like a little girl in front of her crush.

It took all the will in the world to not go and slap her and scratch her face.

“Our daughters were locked in a cage?” I turned to my husband. “How can you be so heartless?”

“I only tried to discipline them because they were being naughty, my love. Tori has spoilt them so much,” Riley defended herself and I clenched my teeth in anger.

“You shouldn’t have done that. Next time, give them milder punishments!”my husband said and Riley nodded. I couldn’t hold it in anymore. The nauseating madness happening in front of me needs to be stopped.

“How dare you!” I yelled angrily and lunged an attack at Riley but she kicked me twice in the stomach.

“Bitch!” She spat in my face. “You murderer! You’re trying to kill my son because you don’t have any. You bitter thing!”

The insults she rendered faded off, as I held my tummy in pain and blood soaked my dress. I knew I was losing consciousness and my heartless husband wouldn’t do anything to help me.

“Mummy!” My girls screamed and ran towards me. 

The whole room began to spin and I felt like I would pass out soon from the immense pain, but I have to save my daughters and myself too.

I quickly grabbed my baby on the couch and my daughters followed me as I staggered and walked outside. Some of the bodyguards saw me and quickly helped me carry my baby and console my daughters who were now wailing loudly.

“Where’s the driver!” I managed to say, holding on to one of the guards so I wouldn’t fall.

“Do not let her into any of the cars!” I heard Riley yell behind me and I turned to look at her, her eyes were full of venom and hate.

How could she be so wicked! I was literally dieing and this is all she had to say! This woman had to be a devil. 

“I’ll call a cab for you,” one of the bodyguards said, and I nodded in appreciation. 

Soon, a cab came in and I entered with my two daughters while the helpful guard gave me my baby to carry.

“Thank you,” I managed to mutter, as he shut the door and the driver zoomed off.

“Central hospital,” I managed to mutter, holding on tight to my daughters and clutching my little baby in my arms. My blood had stained the shawl I used to wrap her body.

I suddenly started feeling extremely dizzy and I knew I would pass out in a matter of seconds.

“Please…please take care of my daughters. I beg you!” I managed to mutter to the driver and suddenly, everything went black.
