The Alpha King was here? How is that possible? I can't believe that Cole eventually convinced him to attend the banquet even after he tore up the invitation the last time.

Looking around, I found out that Cole was nowhere to be found. He's the one organizing this banquet and he isn't here. My sister's thoughts came to my mind instantly, I just hope that he hasn't harassed her again and that is the reason why he hasn't shown up yet.

"Zaa." Chloe called out to me, placing a hand on my dainty shoulder.

I turned to look at her, snapping out of my thoughts. She had an expression on her face that showed that she was concerned about me. I feigned a smile, despite my displeasure at the Alpha King's presence. I don't know why I hate him so much even though I have never seen his face!

Maybe my sister's mate being an Alpha has completely ruined their image. All they want is a servant who they can order around in the name of a mate. I scrunch my nose as I think about it.
